Avery Johnson agrees with Alabama to become new head coach

"@GoodmanESPN: Avery Johnson has made a verbal agreement to coach at Alabama, sources told ESPN. Contract details being finalized."

Another notable addition to the SEC, after Ben Howland to Miss St and Rick Barnes to Tennessee. Johnson last coached the Nets in 2012 and before that was the Mavs head coach and took that team to the 2006 NBA Finals.
