Another Gator streak to consider when choosing a School to play for.
Just like there are Gator players on the NBA Playoff teams and the Champions every year, the same is true in football. Florida has had a former player on a Super Bowl roster for 13 straight years, dating back to the 2003 season when OT Kenyatta Walker and OG Lomas Brown helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat OG Mo Collins and the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.
As the 2016 NFL Playoffs begin this weekend, 15 Gator football players are still competing for a chance to play in Super Bowl 50 on February 7 in Santa Clara, Calif. That's over half of the 29 former Gator's in the NFL.
1 Seed Broncos - WR Andre Caldwell, OG Max Garcia, and LB Lerentee McCray
2 Seed Patriots - LB Jon Bostic. - DE Dominique Easley is currently on injured reserve.
Cardinals - OT D.J. Humphries
Chiefs - WR/KR Frankie Hammond, DT Jay Howard
Steelers - RT Marcus Gilbert. - WR David Nelson & C/OG Maukice Pouncey are on injured reserve and QB Tyler Murphy is on the practice squad.
Bengals - DE Carlos Dunlap, FS Reggie 'freakin' Nelson are on the Bengals #4 in the NFL defense.
Seahawks - DT/ST's Justin Trattou (2 Ints)
Redskins - TE Jordan Reed, RB Matt Jones, and CB/WR Quinton Dunbar. RB Mack Brown is on the practice squad.
Vikings - DT Sharrif Floyd
===============
Starter Openings on the 2016 team to fill include, but are not limited to:
FS Keanu Neal 6-1 216, is the 5th Jr to be a 2016 NFL early departure junior. He joins CB Vernon Hargreaves III, DE Alex McCalister, RB Kelvin Taylor, and WR/KR Demarcus Robinson.
To be appearing in a SB in the near future....
