At least FSU lost

So...and maybe this will deserve its own thread.

After the game...Miami players were celebrating at mid field, doing a sort of mock digging of the logo, having fun. Less dramatic than Oklahoma planting their flag in Columbus, Iowa State planting their flag in Norman, and certainly less assholish than celebrating that SOW fan s and players have done for years.

So Richt comes running in and yells at his players to get their asses off the field.

And the legions of simpletons on seccountry are lauding him as a great man. I don't know how to post a link but you can find it.

Wait a minute...

While he was at Georgia I thought he was simply a hypocritical bible thumper who, I guess while being a great man...

ENCOURAGED his kids to run into the end zone and openly taunt and nearly fight the Gators ten years ago.

Flipped off Urban Meyer the following year when Florida again stomped that ass.

Stepped back until he was done at Georgia while his players acted, by far, like the biggest donkey asses in the SEC.

I am happy for him doing well at Miami. But this thumping revisionist but typical holiness nonsense rubbed wrong. Wake up people. That same stupid attitude has helped us be quite screwed for the last year. Pay attention.

In fairness, he could have simply matured and mellowed out over the last decade. He seemed calm throughout the game, even when a play or call went against Miami. By college football coach standards, Richt seems like an alright guy.

Jesus wept,
Mc-Nuss slept,
till Saban came a callin' on the backdoor step...

It makes the whole battle for the state between USF and UCF a real watch though.

Makes the reality of the Gator program right now a little better. I think that most knew that we would probably have an average program...hoping for more....but we all knew that. FSU was #2 for the first game of the season and we might beat them...lol

Don't use FSU as a measuring stick. We suck...

Sadly both programs have the same core issue. Jumbo and Mr. Ed both think they are the smartest of all time. Neither will change or adapt to overcome their own shortcomings which are numerous.

What should be the 2 powerhouses in the state of FL are both being held hostage by the HC's. At least hunting season will be here soon...

Yeah well Jimbo has been like Top 5 recruiting past several years, has been in the playoffs 2 times...winning it all once. Mr Ed is not only a bad coach with very few wins against any teams that are decent or any good.

Jimbo has always been a bit overrated, Iv'e said it for years and years... It just is what it is, he's a richt in the ACC and gets away with it more than he did in the SEC, and even now Richt is doing it in the ACC and very jimboish... But Miami is a fraud and will go down soon them being ranked #11 says it all about the dumbed down level of shit football this season all the way around, they could easily lose to GT tomorrow and I'll be a bit surprised if they don't actually.. At best they end up with at least 2-3 losses, which is a success for them.. Them being "back" is an absolute hilarious joke statement, they are not anywhere near a top ten football program and team right NOW.. Just like this Wazzou team, that hasn't beaten a team by double digits or in conference since when? Does anyone even remember? They are now getting beat like it by a 3 loss Cal team that never beats anyone like this, they are currently covering the spread by 45 + points depending on where and when or what sportsbook you got it from.. This game tonight was a gimme on even a bad Cal team.. I posted it on numerous other sights of guys that rely on me to cap for them each season while im coaching.. This season is getting easier to bet because the dogs are not only barking, they are winning outright and if you did reverse line prop bets that not only if Cal or Syracuse won, but won by more than 3 or double digits for cal.. You'd get like 12000 k for a 100 dollar bet type odds... and they BOTH actually happened tonight.. Stay tuned this year, as I said last week, there's more huge upsets to come from teams that are also unranked and teams that are nowhere near as good as people think.. UGA is one of them.. No one is as good as people think this year, it's 07 all over again, ANYONE can literally beat or literally LOSE to ANYONE...

We almost did. We more then likely will lose our next 4 games. We could easily go 2 and 9 and that includes a loss to these gators. But that game could go either way with how both teams are playing right now.
2-9, lol. They will literally be favored in the rest of their games this year except for Clemson.

I like your enthusiasm but I don't think so. Don't get me wrong. I want them to win but there is something wrong with FSU this year and it won't be fixed until changes are made on the staff. Who would have thought that both FSU and Florida would both be sucking the same year while Miami is playing good again. I miss the days when our games were at the top of the college football slate and everyone was talking about them.

Enthusiasm? FSU sucks balls this year, but they're not finishing 2-9. Again, they are going to be favored in five of their last six games. You really think they're going to lose all of them? Go take a lap.

Yeah, FSU is having down year for them and Jimbo is overrated as a coach, IMO. But he has won a national title and they're still gong to beat us.

I'm not convinced FSU beats anyone right now (Duke doesn't count). Amazing thing is the QB goes down and you run a kid out there who was at prom last year. To my surprise he is the least of the teams problems.

Only one of Blackman's passes went incomplete...given two were to the other team, but agree QB is least of our problems. Imagine if he didn't have to run for his life everytime the ball is snapped. Kid's going to develop PTSD...ball snaps and it's like pulling the pin on a grenade.

If this is true, then even with a healthy Francoise, FSU's record would be about the same.

FSU and Florida will probably be playing for who gets the right to be invited to some crappy bowl.

He was in the playoffs once. His NC came during the BCS years.

Yup...our defense (littered with 5* future Sunday players) allows teams to march right down field for either a game winning FG/TD or an opportunity to do so (like yesterday). It's for that reason (not DF being out) we are where we are....well, that and Trickett's patented turnstile offensive line.

Blackman's gonna be really good I think. He has no business playing and he gets better and better every week. His arm talent is serious too, especially for being a stick.

For all of Jimbo's faults, he can develop a QB. As opposed to our coaches.

Still compared to our coach he's WAY better. They might be having a down year but Jimbo has recruited very well. I"m not saying that he's the greatest coach ever but he's done a very good job IMO...our coach is failing.

I do not argue that Jimbo is worse the Jim. He clearly is not. I argue that Jimbo is not a great coach.

In fairness to Miami, this was the norm for most of the 1980s.

FSU has still has Syracuse, Boston and Delaware St. They should win at least 2 out of 3 of those -- though Syracuse just gave Clemson a scare. Out of UF, Clemson and UL, I think FSU wins at least 1. Both UL and UF are arguably no better than FSU this year.

Worst case scenario would be something like 5-6, but I'm expecting 6, or even 7 wins if Blackman continues to improve. And the one nice thing about going to a toilet bowl is the competition is easier, so 8 wins isn't out of the question.

If by "scare" you mean beat them on the field, then yes, I'd say Cuse scared the crap out of Clemson.

So we were ranked in the top 5 preseason and now are scratching around hoping for 6 wins. A business executive who produced results like this would soon find themselves in the unemployment line.

As bummed out as the Gator faithful may be, they came into the year with much lower expectations than the Seminoles.
