As much as I hate the Holes, I still cannot wrap my head around the Dumbo Jumbo deal

Taggart/FSU owes Oregon $3 M for his Oregon buyout and it looks like $1.2 M for the remainder of his USF buyout.

BTW, Jimbo has changed HC jobs once. This is Taggart's third HC job
Taggert improved every place he went with two stops the program being in shambles. I love to hear you say how much you think of Jimbo as a coach after telling us for years what a failure he would be. Except of course, when it came to beating that Gator azz which he did reliably. LOL Oh, how did you like that bball game this week? ROFL

I have often said FSU fans are dumb. Incapable of basic comprehension and reasoning. You have reinforced that view.

For a period of time, Jimbo was 4 loss Fisher. He improved a bit to 3 loss Fisher. Although his last 3 seasons averaged 4 losses.

You now have a coach that had been a HC about as long as Fisher. One whose record is demonstrably worse than Jimbo. It is not even over 50 percent. Demonstrably and unequivocally worse.

That does not mean my opinion of Jimbo changed. It just means my opinion of Willie is even more unfavorable.

If Wet Willie performs better than Jimbo, then my opinion will change.

Tell me, is this hard to understand? Are you capable of wading through this mid level reasoning? If so, bully for you. If not do not fear. Our opinion of FSU fans could not get much lower.

Demonstrably and unequivocally worse could also used to describe a coach that unlike Jimbo's 3 losses/yr. averages over 5 losses a yr. and only once had as few as 3 losses. One 10 win season as a high. Is that an upgrade at UF though?

Tough call deciding who looks more stupid posting their opinion on football matters, you or numbers.

Do me a favor though. Keep going and I'll let you know.

Lol I can't wait for numbers first meltdown next year. They expect Mullen will come in and win big next year with one of the worst rosters in the sec. The melt is gonna be epic. Anyone see numbers since the basketball beatdown?

Yeah, as posted above you have a problem with numbers but since you are a gator no big surprise there.

Willie Taggert has not been a coach at a Power 5 school except for one year. Are you seriously comparing WKU and USF to FSU? If so, then the dementia you obviously have is much further along.

You're enduring opinion of Jimbo was that he would fail and he proceeded to drub your supercoach and continue to own your school for the next 8 years. Yet he was 4 loss Jimbo? Didn't he win 29 straight? But of course you can't count past 4 which is the number of wins the Gators have had twice in the last 5 years. Then there was that natty and probably one of the best CFB teams ever but hey, delusions are much more fun.

What I don't get is with such a record of failure predicting how Jimbo would do you carelessly wade into another fool's errand with the new coach. I guess you like pain. We can help with that.

I was talking to him on the phone during the game.

He was too busy to really give much of a damn.

Same old Florida

I am pretty sure we are not comparing Jimbo to Mullen. Ignorant and uninformed is no way way to go through life son.

It might be nice if you tried to, you know, actually tried to use a little reason and logic to refute my opinions. But if you knew how to do that, you probably would.not be a Nole, much less a proud one.

Oregon certainly wants to retain Leavitt, but he may still go to FSU after the bowl.

Quote

- Leavitt signed a four-year contract that's fully guaranteed by Oregon. He earns $1.15 million each season.

- Should the UO decide to fire Leavitt without cause, the Ducks would owe Leavitt 100 percent of his money that remains. So, say Oregon decided to hire a head coach who didn't want Leavitt as his defensive coordinator. He would be owed the remaining three years of his deal, which would be basically $3.45 million. (Section 6.2 B)

- Should Leavitt decide he wants to leave Oregon on his own terms for another coordinator position or a head coaching job (not Kansas State, more later), all Leavitt would owe to Oregon is $500,000 if he leaves before Jan. 21st 2018. If he leaves after the date and before Jan. 31st 2020, he will owe $250,000 to the UO. So should Willie Taggart decide he wants to hire Leavitt, FSU would only need to pay $500,000 to Oregon, plus up to $50,000 of the remaining buyout Oregon is paying Colorado. (Section 6.3 C)

- Leavitt has a clause in his contract that states "should he voluntarily terminate" his contract with Oregon to become the head coach at Kansas State University, the buyout is void and he owes nothing to Oregon.

Well Oregon hired Cristobal as the head coach so that just made the Taggart hire for FSU even worse than it already was. They were hiring Taggart with the expectation they would get Cristobal & Leavitt and Now they are likely to get either one.

Meh. WT called his own plays.

Wrong as usual.
