Was doing Bible study on Exodus today and decided to look up any archaeological evidence for the parting of the Red Sea.

The top result was wikipedia saying there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever for a parting of the Red Sea.

The second result was The Washington Post, who said it may have happened, but if so God didn't have anything to do with it.

Then I came to this link:

It has a few interesting tidbits:

1 - There is a massive beach in Nuweiba Egypt, next to the Red Sea. It is believed that this is where the Israelites camped out before crossing the Red Sea. First, because this is the only flat place in the area that could house the mass of people leaving Egypt.

2 - But second, because there is a 25 foot pillar placed at the location by King Solomon. On the other side of the Red Sea is a similar pillar that contained writing in Hebrew detailing the crossing. This pillar was removed by Saudi Arabia (Not sure why) and a plaque was placed in its location explaining what it was and why.

3 - Finally, archaeologist Ron Wyatt discovered horse and human bones in this location at the bottom of the Red Sea. And the 'smoking gun', he also found spokes from chariot wheels that were used of a certain style that dated to 1446 BC, the time of the Red Sea crossing.

Absolutely fascinating stuff, and it's amazing how I'd never heard of any of this.

This is very cool. So the site of the beach is today called Nuweiba, which translates into 'bubbling springs' or 'waters'.

But that video includes an older arabic map that has the full name of the beach, nuwayba al Muzayyinah.

The translation? "Waters of Moses Opening" My guess is Egyptians or non-Christians removed the 'al muzayyinah' part of the name, which likely translates to "of Moses Opening'.

Sorry to be sacrilegious but I've been known to part the "red sea" a time or two myself. To be fair. I cheated too and used my staff . ;)

It would show that Mount Sinai is in Saudi Arabia. The paleo-hebrew written on rocks in the area also shows their presence. They fear the Israelis might stake a claim to the area. It would be a Jewish holy site. This is where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. This is where God spoke to Moses.

The site makes this claim, shows what it says is a picture of Mt Sinai in Saudi Arabia. The video was terribly interesting, if you haven't seen it.

Ask Nail, when I was posting on the volquest political forum,I posted a lot of prophecy stuff.

I have been a prophecy devotee since I was a pre-teen. Ezekiel 36-38, Psalm 83, Obadiah, Jeremiah, Revelation, etc

I still follow it some today but have other interests that are at the top of my list these days. (Retirement,RVing, and quasi off grid homesteading) The last couple of weeks I and my wife have been canning meat/meals. (32 lbs of pork shoulder @ 99cents/lb and other items) I have 3 freezers full of food. I am not a prepper per se but buy stuff on sale and then run out of room. So canning was the logical next step to preserve the meat sales. We have a months worth of dinners on the shelf. I have been using my recently purchased deli slicer and meat grinder.

Gubmint aint doing ish about inflation so I have to do it on my own.

I cant wait for the Amish to start selling their high quality produce in bulk at ridiculously low prices!

This is another great video. The experts (Remember the left tells us to trust the experts) claim that Eve was up to 300,000 years old. This is done to 'prove' that the Bible isn't accurate. The Bible states Eve was created by God roughly 6,000 years ago.

The 'experts' say it's up to 300,000 years.

But what the 'experts' are doing to arrive at that number is they are saying that humans and chimps have a common ancestor. And they examine the DNA of both humans and chimps, see the DNA is around 20% different, and then try to extrapolate how much TIME would pass in order to achieve a difference in DNA of 20%. They offer varying numbers, up to 300,000 years.

So in 1997, a study using DNA dating was done to determine the actual age of Eve. But THIS time, the study (done by an evolutionary scientist) looked at ONLY the DNA from humans to determine age.

The results? When looking at only human DNA, the study from 1997 found that Eve was actually about 6,500 years old. Perfectly in line with the Bible. And again, this study was done by an evolutionary scientist, so they went into the study actually thinking it would confirm the theory of evolution, not the validity of the Bible.
