There has been some possible movement of players transfering from UF - T. J McCoy entering name in transfer portal, etc.

This one hurts, I remember when T.J. transferred in to UF - Muschamp had left us with zero OL & he made a huge difference.

Anyone have good numbers for UF on the 85 man limit ?

I'd have to research it but for right this moment, with current commits (if they all sign) we are at 85. If McCoy leaves and we sign Moore, Elam etc. they'll have to be offset with additional attrition.

I do believe we have 3-4 walk on schollys available though that could be used so we should be good. From the egg heads that were looking at this a few weeks ago, nobody seemed too concerned for us to sign at least 4 more and that was before the McCoy thing. I'll try to find it.

Just found this article - it goes over the state of the scholly count and the 2 big rules concerning what we're talking about. I couldn't find exactly how many walk-on schollies were out there currently but 2-3 seems about right. Those could be used for spots. Also - some of the guys that simply don't play but have graduated as Jrs could be encouraged to move on, if the last 3-4 recruits this cycle command it.

Essentially - we could sign up to 5 more people this cycle if they are the right guys...then the coaches would have to figure out who could leave.

I seem to remember that EE's in this class can count back to last year's class, but I don't know how many were open from last year....

I've read several places that we can go to 28 this year, though it'll hurt some flexibility for next year's class. lol don't ask me to explain it all. I'm just the messenger.

Basically - if we get elite ballers we can give out 5 more schollies this year. If not, save a spot or 2 for next year.

Overall though - looks like we take up to 4 more, if it's the right 4.
