Speaking of
'Talking Season.' -- Overblown media prattle begins now in football....
From SDS --
LS/TE August Drews 6-4 220 was all set to start his career as a Gator in the coming months and work his way up the Florida depth chart as a P-WO long snapper and hopefully one day earn a scholarship offer. Instead, on Monday committed to join Appalachian State’s football program after recently landing a scholarship offer to play for the Mountaineers.
You certainly can’t blame a recruit for passing on a walk-on role to accept a full-ride to a program that has had as much success in recent seasons as Appalachian State.
However, this news may leave the Gators searching for a new long snapper prospect to add to the program’s 2020 recruiting class a little late in the process.

The writer obviously didn't look at the Gator 2020 roster before making that comment.
LS Jacob Tilghman 6-2 214 rsSr Grad-departed - WO
2019 All 13 Gms as starter.
LS Brett Dioguardi 6-4 226 rsJr - P-WO -
A Kornblue 5 Star
2019 Appeared in 2 Gms, UTMartin & VU
LS Marco Orteix 6-4 232 rsFr - P-WO -
A Rubio 5 Star
2019 Appeared in 1 Gm, VU
I think that August also looked at UF's roster at both LS and TE, then decided to take the ship. Good for him, but it's not a big deal for the Gators in 2020.
