And so Devin Robinson will be the next Gator Flop...

At least he can reconsider if he doesn't like his projected draft position. The concerning thing is that workouts are going to help his stock. He's an easy NBA athlete. He's a natural rebounder, and he can shoot. He just doesn't know how to play basketball yet. I was hoping he'd figure it out next year.

Devin is no Bradley Beal, that's for sure.... o_O

2016/17 Projected Roster:

SF Devin Robinson 6-8 195 Jr
IMO he's never put in the time or effort to develop physically.
He should stay imo, but if he goes it's not a big deal, I'll wave and wish him well.
I think that UF was better off without Chris Walker for example, but that's jmoho.
23.1 min/game - 9 Pts - RB 5.6 - FG 45.8% - 3-FG 34.0% - FT 75.6%
(Everything else was less than 1/gm)

SF Justin Leon 6-8 196 Sr - (juco xfer, he played with better effort imo)
14.9 min/gm - 5.3 Pts - 3.1 RB - FG 49.3% - 3-FG 37.3% - FT 46.2%

SF/PF Alex Murphy 6-8 225 rs-rsSr (seeking NCAA 6th year)

SF/PF Keith Stone 6-8 233 rsFr (he could be UF's next DFS if he continues to develop)

SF/SG DeVon Walker 6-6 203 rsSr -- xfer out for playing time.

SF/PF DFS 6-8 220 - Grad-Gone, he will be missed.

Plus the incoming 2016 recruit:
SF Dontay Bassett 6-8 205 - Oldsmar, FL
(he's already more 'solid' as an incoming Fr, than DR is as a Jr)

He's a lot better than Chris Walker and Justin Leon. Leon's not a bad bench option, but if he's playing big minutes for this team on the wing, that's not good. I don't think effort is D-rob's problem. If you look at his game stats, just about every game he played 25 minutes, he was close to 10 boards. Some of his lines were Finney-Smith-like: 13 and 10; 12 and 10; 12 and 13 and so on. He just has a tendency to disappear on offense. He would be a big loss.

Devin averaged 23.1 minutes per game.
Justin only played 14.9 minutes per game, for an 8.2 min. difference.

Looking at their actual 2015 stats, Leon was better in his 1st season as a Gator than Devin was in his 2nd. The ONLY stat where Devin was better than Justin was in his FT %.

SF Dontay Bassett 6-8 205 Fr - Oldsmar, FL
We'll have to wait and see, just how good this incoming kid can be as a Gator.

Good scoop. Still have a hard time seeing Robinson keeping his name in the NBA Draft. Think he returns.

Florida F Devin Robinson underwent successful surgery to repair stress fracture in left foot, 4-6 month recovery time.

Hate to see anyone get injured, but it is probably the best thing for him to stay anyway, and definitely a plus for the Gators.

Word has it he knew about the injury for some time. And he declared before the injury went public, just so he could see where he stood. He will be back for one more year.

Their are new rules in regards to college basketball players looking into the draft. The entire UK basketball team is declaring as well. With the new rules it allows these guy to come back. Robinson will be back at UF next year.
Told ya. He never was going to leave UF.

I agree with the majority of the board on this one, imo, he was not ready to go Pro, even without the injury. I think that as far as his physical development goes, he would be better off to stay through his Sr year. The NBA is full of GROWN men. o_O
