Although it was brave of Howard Schultz, the company's chief executive, to go even this far in a country where people are better armed and only slightly less nervy than rebel fighters in Syria, we should note that dealing with the risks of scalding and secondary smoke came well before addressing the problem of people who go armed to buy a latte. There can be no weirder order of priorities on this planet.

82 degrees Celsius is about 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't think you can tea bag that without burning the boys!

Silly story. 2/3's of the fire arm deaths are suicides, yet US suicide rate isn't much more than than Great Britain, as ALSO reported by the Guardian (11.3 suicides per 100k in US vs 10.4 per 100k in GB)....

.....maybe the UK needs to focus on banning pharmaceuticals, knives, tall places, ropes for nooses, fast trains, and bridges without lifeguards....

Another FACT would be how much of the gun violence in America is attributable to urban gangs. Hell, not even just urban gangs but all gangs. I mean, really, how much of a presence (currently or historically) do the Crips, Bloods, MS-13, etc. have in London, Berlin, Rome, Tokyo???

Based on one of the more recent developments, Britain should be worried about banning meat cleavers and large kitchen knives first...

Guns do not make people more violent. They just makes the violence that does occur a bit more deadly.

Another FACT is that in every case of illegal gun use someone breaks the law. The people breaking the law aren't necessarily going to stop because there's a new law. The people breaking the law will always have guns if they want them just like they have crank labs, pot farms, sex slaves, pipe bombs, burglary tools, etc.
