USA Today wrote a story yesterday about the harassment that female reporters face everyday. If you haven't seen it, 2 female reporters made a psa having men read actual tweets to them. Obviously, all public figures deal with criticism and that's just part of their life. However, this takes it to a whole other level. The men could barely read the stuff that was written. Even the male sports reporters on ESPN agree that it's a major issue. Everyone should watch it.

I have no clue why people think it's ok to sit behind a keyboard and say things like "I hope you get raped again." or some of the other things on the video. Unfortunately this happens all the time. I'm glad that it is getting some attention. A female reporter has as much of a right to do her job as a man does. If it's not your personal preference than change the channel or don't a read the article but stop the harassment. And stop with the excuses about how they don't know what they're talking about. There are many, many male reporters that never played the sport they report on and they are not treated the same way. I hope this can at least bring some attention to this continuing issue.
