Added another recruit tonight

3*
67th WR
469th rated player

its your story I will let you tell it how you want
How very kind of you to allow that to me.

Here's my story: Pulled up ESPN recruiting list, 4 star WR on the list, mentioned 4 star WR on this thread. End of story.

Who thinks we are going to be running an up-tempo offense? And who says he values power over speed? Look I know you aren’t a fan of his offense and that is fine….but don’t just make things up either to try and fit your narrative. I have some concerns with his some aspects of his offense but I’ve never seen anybody on this board say he’s going to run an up tempo offense. And where do you think he values power over speed? I haven’t seen or heard him say that. How would you know he values power over speed? Because of a scheme? Because he runs more than passes? Because he doesn’t recruit speed? Where are you coming up with this?
Elijah Mitchell RB for the 49ers played for Napier at Louisiana and ran a 4.35 forty at the NFL combine. What about those WRs he recruited at Bama? They didn’t have any speed? Let’s not go over the top here. Just stick to you don’t like his offense.

This has been exactly my problem with Michi's entire argument.

he's acting like when we found out it was going to be Napier, everybody started anticipating some Air Raid offense.

Im not sure anyone has even really talked that much about his offense outside of you bringing it up because you don't like it.

Also, coaches DO adjust how they run things based on where they are. That doesn't mean he would "change" the offense here, but run pass ratios could be different. Depending on personnel, it could be different.

Mullen is a run first guy who likes a running QB but crazily enough, when he didn't have the personnel to do that, he went to a wide open passing attack in 2020.

I just think it's bizarre that it's all you really talk about.

Also, the "wait and see" thing, at least for me, has nothing to do with finding out what his offensive formations are going to look like. I can and have watched ULL games to do that. I want to see how we look out of it, what the personnel looks like. Also I'd like to see us look well coached.

that would be pretty neat.

Michi seems to think that Napier wants to be like Smart with a similar offense, etc and just assumes that is power over speed. I have news for Michi. The way Smart has recruited the UGA team has both speed and power. Same goes for Bama, etc. If you are recruiting really good then you are getting plenty of speed.

Did anyone notice the TD/Int Ratio at ULL in 2021?
22 TD's to only 4 Ints, for a 5.5 to 1 Ratio....

Did anyone notice the Yds/Rec of the leading receivers at ULL in 2021? Not a bunch of dink & dunk junk in their passing game.

WR Jefferson
26.7 Yds/Rec
WR Lacy ----- 13.8 Yds/Rec
WR LeBlac --- 11.3 Yds/Rec

TE Johnson -- 13.0 Yds/Rec
RB Bailey ---- 10.2 Yds/Rec

A running QB with a stable of good RB's can really open up the passing game it seems to me.

Well at least we don’t try to destroy our biggest rival with lies (not defending Bama). but UT is the lowest. I know you’re referring to the coaching carousel.
I love clowning on UT more than any team in all of college football.

However it's an SEC thing. Auburn, Missouri, Arkansas, Ole Miss, MSU, SCar, and Vandy have been matching us with the instability since Meyer left. LSU was a little stable until lately.

Only stable teams are Bama, UGA, and A&M and of course UK because both them and their coach have reached their apex.

Why does it matter if he runs more than he passes? Only recruits it might effect are the WRs and it would effect RBs in a positive way. It appears to me that his offenses are pretty balanced.

Correct, he will recruit RB solidly and probably struggle a bit with WR

if it wins, thats what matters. But it is NOT balanced.

also, he won more one score games than anyone, and that is dangerous living

time will tell

As always, time will tell....

2021
VS 10-4 AppSt
ULL 41 - 13

VS 8-5 Liberty
ULL 42 - 14

VS 10-4 AppSt
ULL 24 - 16 in SB-C game

VS 7-6 Mrshall in N.O. Bowl
ULL 36 - 21

And he had 5 one score wins vs others....
I could live with a team that knows how to win those close games on their off days.
