Actual Navy Pilot Call DeSantis "Pathetic"

Since Ron was advisor to special operations task force west, Seal Team One, Al Anbar province Iraq I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a crap about what some flyboy thinks.

And I say that with all due affection since I'm an Airedale myself.
I bet you’re right. If he thinks so lowly of the fly boy, imagine what he thinks about @RayGravesGhost as he fingers his butthole to all things Trump while supporting pedophilia.

He was a lawyer

In 2004, during his second year at Harvard Law, DeSantis was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Navy and assigned to the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG). He completed Naval Justice School in 2005. Later that year, he received orders to the JAG Trial Service Office Command South East at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, as a prosecutor. He was promoted from lieutenant, junior grade to lieutenant in 2006. He worked for the commander of Joint Task Force-Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO), working directly with detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Joint Detention Facility.[20][21][22]

In 2007, DeSantis reported to the Naval Special Warfare Command Group in Coronado, California, where he was assigned to SEAL Team One and deployed to Iraq[23] with the troop surge as the Legal Advisor to the SEAL Commander, Special Operations Task Force-West in Fallujah.[20][21][22]

DeSantis returned to the U.S. in April 2008, at which time he was reassigned to the Naval Region Southeast Legal Service. The U.S. Department of Justice appointed him to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. attorney[23] at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida. DeSantis was assigned as a trial defense counsel until his honorable discharge from active duty in February 2010. He concurrently accepted a reserve commission as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the US Navy Reserve.[24]

Did I say he was a tier 1 operator with the teams? No, I specifically stated he was an advisor. The fact that he was at Camp X-Ray and then boots on the ground in Iraq with DevGru carries more weight with me than the thoughts of a single Naval Aviator.

Did he wear his gear when he was pushing paper in Guantanamo & Iraq?

Well lets see, I was at X-Ray for less than 24 hours once and I was advised to wear my flak vest and Kevlar on the flight line without exception if I wanted to see my wife again.

I've never been in Iraq but I imagine anyone, even support personnel for DevGru, would be designated an HVT by Al-Qaeda in Iraq, so yes, I imagine he wore his full kit out of necessity there as well.

Is there some point you're trying to make here? You posted 5 times, back to back, but other than the fact you don't like DeSantis very much, I'm not seeing it.

The point is DeSantis put on a Navy pilot uniform to exploit the popularity of Top Gun and declared rules of engagement to not respond to press coverage

So if you're "for" Ron DeSantis you're "for" politicians who parade around in uniforms they never earned, and promoting not facing the questions of the people they serve.

Other than that...no problem at all

Is Ron DeSantis dressed up like a fighter pilot cringeworthy? Yes.

I hardly think, since he's a Naval Officer in the JAG corps, that he's "parading around in uniforms he didn't earn." Thats a reach, and I suspect you know that.

If you want to discuss his refusal to talk to the press, great, but quit taking the scenic route.

Is there heavy criticism of DeSantis for this stunt? Yes.
A little "over-the-top"? Yes. But its coming from Navy pilots

He never was one and shouldn't be using them as a political ad prop

It’s a takeoff on the very successful Top Gun movie. But you and the other desperate back benchers keep trying Mkay?

He served in the Navy.
Please share with us any uniform YOU wore. Otherwise STFU

I hope Desantis gets re-elected as Governor of Florida and then in about 6 years he can make his White House run.
I will definitely vote for him running for POTUS but having said that I think the ad was hokey, kinda dumb and a bit lazy.
My actual first impression of seeing it for the first time was “really Ron - what are you doing man”.

I‘m a fan of Ron Desantis, just not a fan of the ad.

LOL...you are so petulant. One day I fear that DeSantis will haunt you more than Trump.

Holy crap, right?
This isn’t about one person. This is going to be their MO moving forward. Why? Because they want us to move on, which would prove their methods against Trump worked, so just keep doing it.

That is one of the many reasons it’s important to reelect DJT again. We either stop this crap now, and take a stand, or it will continue and get worse my friend.

Been saying this for months, but if you think what they have done to Trump is bad, just wait. What’s next, public hangings of political enemies? At what point, will pubs stand up, and stop letting these dweebs influence who we nominate?

Romney, mccain etc….ring a bell? Gotta nominate a moderate right? Now, we gotta nominate anyone but Trump, right?

I will sit back with my giant bucket of popcorn watching the liberal media influence who the right nominates, then laugh when the medias pub darling becomes satan…..again.

When will folks ever learn?

Further, since I fast scanned the picture:

He's carrying a rifle. As an officer, he's only required to carry and issued a sidearm. Obviously someone in his command structure felt that he was in sufficient danger to authorize issue of a rifle, which outside of SEAL/SWCC and SeaBee battalions, is rare in the Navy.

It's unheard of in the JAG Corps. So while he might have been flying a desk, somehow I don't think he was safe in the Green Zone.

I warned you libs about trying to discuss guns and war. You know NOTHING about either. Stick to "man" bun stles...you will be able to better understand the subject, son

This is going to be their MO moving forward.

This has been their MO since at least 1980. Even Romney and McCain were painted as extremists and racists during their runs for the Oval. Same with W...before they fell in love with all 3 of them.

I don't care who they want. I want a guy that checks all the boxes that I want checked.

Oh I agree, they’re just pushing the envelope further with each passing election.
