NFL games are boring.... NFL preseason games....gross...i would rather watch jv softball at a local high school
Can anybody name all of the former Gator greats enshrined in the H.O.F without googling it?
To each their own, I hate the politics in the NFL today.NFL games are boring.... NFL preseason games....gross...i would rather watch jv softball at a local high school
I was surprised that we had only two, Notre Dame has 13. Miami has more than three times what we have.I actually guessed right but did look at it right afterwards. I was thinking I probably had left someone out.
That was all I could name as well, I didn't even know who Jack Youngblood was. Florida is the home to Gatorade and that drink should be inducted as well.sadgator will take Emmitt.

Until they start throwing those sons of bitches off the field, i dont watch @bradleygator
I was thinking we might have a receiver there also and couldn't remember the name. It was Wes Chandler who I was thinking of.I was surprised that we had only two, Notre Dame has 13. Miami has more than three times what we have.

I have heard the great names of the past. Saw a lot of those Heisman and Hall Of Fame Alumni but now that there are players like Terrell Owens going in I am realizing how old I am now. I was a kid when Emmitt and Favre were doing their thing. I only began watching when they were well into their careers. He was a stud in the 70s for the Rams. I believe he played against the Steelers in SB 13.

I remember Terrell Owens when he was still considered a young punk when he celebrated on the star.
Florida will get another member. My next question is who will be #3 or has the best shot?
Of the current players I would list Brandon Spikes, Carlos Dunlap , the Pouncy brother that plays for Pittsburgh as the most likely. Percy Harvin was unfortunately too injury probes to show what he could do.
If u are talking hall of fame....none of those players are getting in.
I think Pouncey and Dunlap have a chance, not saying it's great but they have a shot. I had always considered Kearse and Taylor options as well. Like Danny already said about Taylor, he was never the name of a Marshall Faulk or Terell Davis but he was a very good player on some very good Jaguar teams. If u are talking hall of fame....none of those players are getting in.
Meh....not necessarily true....Maurkice Pouncey has been an all-star with the Steelers since he got in the league (his injury as a rookie had a major effect on the Steelers losing to the Packers in 2010).
He might get the recognition, but OL is difficult.
Fred Taylor will likely get in because of the numbers but also because he was "the guy" for a brand new franchise."

I doubt Taylor gets in due to only getting one pro bowl. He is getting hardly any votes now I think. He might be the highest total yardage guy that isn't voted in because of that. Not really fair to him.Meh....not necessarily true....Maurkice Pouncey has been an all-star with the Steelers since he got in the league (his injury as a rookie had a major effect on the Steelers losing to the Packers in 2010).

Kearse has been put on the ballot. Not saying he will get in but it's a start. He still holds the rookie sack record at 14.5 I believe.

To me Kearse is the type of player who should not get in. He had 3 yr span of dominance....another 3 yr span of above avg. That doesnt scream hall of fame to me. I dont care that he was a Gator. That holds no relevance to me for someone gett8ng in the hall of fame. I think in order to get in the hall of fame at minimum you should dominate for around 10 yrs or have minimal dropoff. He nvr had 50 tackles in 1 season. His first 3 yrs were dominate but after that? A few above avg seasons. Great player, would want him on my team...NOT a hall of famer in my book.
