I’ve been on this site for the better part of two decades as an observer. Left for a bit because it became so negative but for some reason I have always liked rivals UI so I came back.
Candidly when @JasonHigdon took over I didn’t love the content with the site and cancelled my subscription but never went through with it. I was on TOSs and I realized he had the most up to date insiders, treated them the best and quite frankly got some to come back, so I did too (thank you @JasonHigdon for doing you, proved me stupid). Anyone on On3 with two eyes (from an outside perspective) knows why “some things” migrated back here. It’s a joke that our insiders get chewed apart because “recruiting is going bad.” What do you expect with recruiting right now, we have been consistent irrelevant since Urban Meyer. A top 10 class is great RIGHT NOW. If we get DJ and Simmons on campus, and they live up to their potential, it’s not, top 5 or bust. Plain and simple.
So that brings me to my next point. I just finished The Swamp Season 3 Episode 3. I don’t know if CBN will win here. I do know he did at ULL, and is taking the same blue print. I LOVE that. Will it take more time? Yes. Of course it will, it’s not the Sun Belt and unfortunately our biggest rival has won back to back titles and is a BEAST, but he’s building it the right way. I was shocked to see some of the people who were in this video who has been flown to NYC for the GatorMade trip. I figured it would be the who’s who but it’s guys who are All American types, and guys who will make a life outside of sports. It’s clear CBN cares deeply about everyone 1-150 or however many he may have on his roster. He’s building a CULTURE, which we have all agreed lacked and didn’t exist the last two regimes.
So for everyone melting down about Chauncey Bowens flipping to Georgia, then this commit not being ranked high enough for us to be excited about, and then world crumbles here or there, just stay quiet or yell at the moon while you sob with your Jack and Coke at the fire pit in your backyard. Don’t attack insiders. It’s ridiculous, it’s literally the reason you’re here. From an observer perspective, it sucks to come on this site when that happens because people who don’t understand the simple concept that Rome wasn’t built in a day ruin the site.
This year may not be pretty either but if CBN can get Simmons and Lagway to campus, with what he is building elsewhere recruiting, holy sh*t we are back gentlemen and enjoy the ride. That is CBN’s bet, and if you don’t realize that you haven’t been pay attention.
