Mullen will be adding jucos and handing out scholarships to walk-ons soon. Just like richt used to....
Keep hoping. The only fact now is that you do have a former walk-on at QB. And if Fromm leaves you’re starting him or a true freshman next year. Sounds like great roster management. More projection.
We'll start Rivals 100 QB Beck as a true freshman. Kirby's been there and done that. Our oline/running game will always open up the passing attack. Bring on 8 in the box.

I like the talent Kirby's recruited since arriving in Athens. Back to back #1 classes. What I like more is our depth. Mullen doesn't have that luxury yet.
Richt did very well his first three seasons. It’s the last 6 or so that were the problem.

And he was so good he threw for 1800 yards at some podunk juco and was headed to some nobody school in LA. Meanwhile Mayfield started at Texas Tech as a freshman. Great comparison.

No, I’m just saying we have other QB’s on campus right now being developed. Beck isn’t on campus yet. Fromm is likely a 4 year guy.

We lost some guys, more transfers in college I've ever seen but this rebuild is going to take multiple years...I'm happy with ther direction of ther program and recruiting is going well.
We’re talking about now not the future. Management of the QB position has sucked. You’ve run off two guys who will put up better numbers than your guy this year, then ran off your backup, a former walk-on, and had to beg him to come back. Otherwise you’d have 2 scholarship QB’s on the roster going into the season.

So, why would Dan take a chance on a WR like Henderson when everyone knew that he was an academic risk to qualify? (same goes for UF's other 2 academic non-qualifiers)
1. You've got an open spot in your recruiting class and it costs nothing to offer and take a verbal commit.
2. If they don't make it in, then you still might get them back later as a JuCo xfer.
3. They are a no cost roll of the dice while being a huge benefit if they do make it in, or if they eventually xfer in.

Possesses above average height and length. Owns a lean, athletic build that should be able to fit more weight and bulk at the college level. Has provided enormous production in the Houston area competing in Texas' largest high school classification. Plays with impressive receiver instincts and awareness. Knows how to find and run to open space. Cognizant of the boundary and a good toe-tapper when required. Shows impressive high-pointing ability thanks to timing and body control. Possesses ability to move around the formation in multiple-receiver sets. Can provide vertical threat, while also a consistent chain-moving presence. Above average run-after-catch ability. While the frame is better than average, it is a bit narrow and might limit physical potential. Above average athleticism from a testing standpoint, but can improve overall explosiveness. Improved fluidity will help ability to get open in close quarters vs. college defenders. Potential NFL Draft pick.
