2024 Bowl Games

The fact that Cam Ward quit on his team tells you everything you need to know about his character.

But then again…just look at what these dudes are learning about life from the portal…it breeds quitters…so…not surprised…

Can't belive he wouldn't play the 2nd half after breaking the all time TD record. A really bad look. Why even play at all. Sucks Miami knows they have to get a starting QB through the portal also.

Hopefully. Curious who they end up with at QB. Tired of losing to that team.
I mean, I don't see 2-10. Not in the ACC. But 4-8 is a real possibility. Cam Ward was the offense. They have no defense. I'd also point out that they went 9-4 and had at least 2 wins given to them by the ACC refs, so that's a really sketchy 9 wins. They came out hot but regressed the whole season. I expect it to continue next year.

Yep the offense was good the whole season but the defense struggled especially considering all the decent pass rushers they had. We just seem to find ways to lose to them though it seems.

And Bama thought they should get a playoff spot. SEC looking bad in some of these games. Milroy probably gets the GM that takes him fired.

Without Saban they're going to be just another very good SEC team, IMO. Personally I was glad to see whiner Shane Beamer get beaten by Illinois.
So far the SEC is 6-5 in bowl games
Winners
Florida
Texas
Vandy
Arkansas
Missouri
LSU

Losers
Tennessee
Oklahoma
A&M
Alabama
South Carolina

Big 10 gave us some whoopings. Down yr for the sec for sure. I think the portal has taken the sec depth. Bama is not bama without saban there. I was surprised they looked that bad. Scar losing to Illinois after complaining about not being in the playoff is a bad look.

Those are two satisfying losses for me. Screw Bama and Shane Beamer. I just not an SEC homer like most here are. I also want to see Texas and Georgia lose.

I'm wondering if Kalen DeBoer's success at UW has much to do with his former QB Michael Penix. Now I'd have to see how successful DeBoer is with a more competent QB.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Bama, Georgia and to a lesser extent LSU are taking steps back now that recruiting players is a true even playing field. This is also bringing the SEC back to the pack.

Agreed. Bama, uga, and Lsu are no longer elite, still good but not those dominating teams. I still think the sec is ahead but the big 10 has caught up. Big 12 and acc still not close. I don't think big 12 will ever be close and ACC had the worst fsu and Clemson team of the last 10 yrs. Honestly, it's good for us though

LSU is loading up in the portal though.

Yeah, I've seen the Jaguars load up in the free agent market as well, usually just before they have extra-bad years. The portal is for getting one or two guys you think can help, and a few more to give experienced depth. You can't build a team that way. Well, you can, just not a quality one.

Hard to say. Some teams have turned their team around a lot in a year with portal moves though. LSU has some talent there but is losing some also.

Curious to see the roster of all the SEC teams going into spring practice.
