Welp, tough night. The officials bail out the dawgs everytime the Gators make a run. Phantom foul calls and then on the other end we get knocked to to the ground and no call.
It was piss poor officiating the first 10 minutes of the half, all we had to do was make our free throws.Refs definitely helping Georgia to make the tournament.

This is one of many examples. It was piss poor officiating the first 10 minutes of the half, all we had to do was make our free throws.
Every bubble team playing a ranked team at home has won since Saturday.. this will continue until the conference tournaments.. Because it continues every single year in this "sport"Refs definitely helping Georgia to make the tournament.
Yep! As usual, Ocala is the voice of reason.Georgia came out attacking on offense and smothering on defense, plus they hit everything they threw up. We didn't match their intensity and basically everybody except Will Richard had a bad night. Clayton made had his worst game of the year, but Haugh & Aberdeen were off, Condon was still rusty and Martin was below average. Throw in all the missed free throws and that's the formula for losing to an inferior team. Even with the comeback late, they didn't deserve to win the game. They didn't play together and hopefully this bit of humble pie will re-focus them for the stretch run. You just can't any team for granted, especially on the road. Learn from it and move on.
Wow two for one. A moving screen and holding.
It's just funny how in sports every year, also in football somehow people can't read between the lines of reality of which teams are legit or not.. Somehow the media is telling us, yet again.. that somehow this Houston team is different than the other ones that choked in the tournament because they can't score enough.. and that Tennessee is somehow different THIS time when they always lose in March when any team gets semi hot at all and they're season comes crashing down.. Or that Bama is a blue blood all the sudden because they had the easiest road to a Final Four of anyone last year because UNC was a fake 1 seed.. As Duke will be this year, Duke has 3 freshmen starting, this ain't 1 and done ball no more, all the top teams have grown men as seniors again because of how the game has changed.. There's no way anyone that has any intelligence or actually watches all these teams play every week that Florida isn't at the worst in the top 4 teams this year..A few games to go but I think most computer bracketology and other projections will likely have us as the 5th team right now and the top #2 seed. I think if we win @Bama there is a good chance we get a #1 seed but I think they want to limit the SEC to two #1 seeds if they can and Houston likely gets a #1 seed because of that.
If we lose @Bama I think the TN - Bama game winner likely determines the #1 seed as Bama won't be hurt by losing @Auburn in their last game if they just beat TN and us.
History says getting a #1 seed gives you a much better chance to make a Final Four than a #2 seed but I think that is more on the quality of the teams and think a #2 seed in Atlanta would be better than getting a #1 seed in California if Houston didn't get a #1 seed. We already showed we can beat Auburn away from home and they will likely get Atlanta.
The first of our national championship teams went into the tournament as a #3 seed. You can't lose to an unranked team that you beat by 40 a few weeks before and not expect to drop some in the polls and seeding projections. As of this morning we're still #4 in the NET rankings. But our SOS is only #27. We've only played 9 Quad 1 games and are 5-4. Auburn has 16 Quad 1 games and is 14-2. Alabama has 15 Quad 1 games and is 10-5. Duke has 9 Quad 1 games and is 6-3, plus 9-1 on the road. Houston has played 11 Quad 1 games and is 7-4, 9-0 on the road. I don't think it matters about #1 or #2 seed. The concern is that if we don't play better the last 3 games, we could drop even further. Win the last 3 regular conference games and it'll all be fine. Once the tournament starts, just win the games regardless of the specific seedings. If we're good enough we'll go far. Play like last night and we'll be out fairly quickly.
