I spoke with 2023 WR Isaiah Hardge about the Gators offering on Monday, and now Florida is at the top of his offer list. The STA receiver plays both outside and in the slot.
As of Monday, Hardge has not reached out to the Florida staff, but coach McGee is the staff member who delivered the news to STA's coaching staff.
On the call, Hardge mentioned he would welcome the opportunity to play in the SEC, citing the competitive nature of the conference.
Hardge has offers from Texas A&M, Maryland, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse, but Florida has jumped to the top of his list.
Despite his growing offer list, Hardge has no visits scheduled to any schools thus far.
Before wrapping up the call, I asked Hardge if any schools were out in front, and he responded by saying:
“One of my top schools is Alabama, but out of the offers I have are the Gators.”
It is still very early on in the process, but Hardge has his sights set high. Hardge's father, Ron, coaches receivers at St. Thomas Aquinas, and his brother Ron Hardge III, plays defensive back at Oregon State.
