2021 College Football Team By Team Preview

I think 8-4 seems a bit off.

I'm thinking:

FAU - Win
USF - Win
BAMA - Loss (close - ~35% chance)
Tenn - Win
KY - Win (we could go 14-1, win the National Title, beat Bama, and we would still lose to Florida)
Vandy - Win
LSU - Toss Up (but it's @LSU)
Georgia - Win (Georgia chokes again)
SC - Win
Samford - Win
Mizz - Win
FSU - Win

I think Florida loses at least one, and likely two. I think Georgia loses to Clemson and Florida, but the remainder of their schedule is not impressive. Kentucky will likely go 8-4 or 7-5. We can beat every team on our schedule not named Georgia (LSU is at home, and who knows), but we will lose to LSU, Georgia, Florida, and at least one other.

You haven't been running around squawking about how 3rd is the best DC since sliced bread either. I'd say I was just asking him to put his money where his mouth is, but there is no money involved. Just want to see if he will man up and make a real prediction on how the defense is going to do, so that when it's 2020 redux we can all laugh at him. I mean, not like we aren't now, but still.

Mullen is 29-9 (.744) overall and 19-7 (.731) in SEC play since taking over Florida in 2018 (2 season plus a Kung Flu cluster).

When it comes to predictions, some said it would be year 3 before Dan could bring the program back, many saying that 6-8 wins was to be expected in the first 2 seasons while he and Todd were having to rebuild the dis-jointed roster.

I said that the turn-around would be quicker, with 9-10 wins immediately.

During the the last year and a half of the Communist Chinese Kung Flu scamdemic, the D kinda went in the toilet, largely due to roster rebuilding with many young players, and exacerbated by the loss of Spring development and summer physical conditioning. Both of the under-preforming secondary coaches have been replaced. The D is still pretty young, but they are re-committed and being coached up and held accountable. Dan seems to think that they are on track, and so do I, as I repeatedly said....

Just like I've said that EJ will likely start, with AR getting solid playing time and/or packages just like EJ did under KT, and maybe even playing some at WR/TE?
But as I look at the WR/TE rooms, it now seems less likely, but you never know.

Ya seem scared to predict the defense, Nancy. Why is that? I've said 7th in the SEC and 43rd overall. You are such a big advocate for 3rd, put up or shut up.

The SEC Pre-season Professional Media have only correctly picked the SEC-C 8 times since 1992, (29 years).

Top 10 in the nation is likely imo, with a Top 20 in the nation at the minimum.

Many factors can affect the final rankings of the defense, key injuries being the biggest imo.

#7 in the SEC and #43 in the nation shows how much (or more likely how little) that the LLL knows about it. But then, totally corrupt Beijing Biden and his Border Ho were his choice for leadership....

Shouldn't be any "going in the correct direction" as that sounds like excuse making if the defense isn't at the top of the SEC. These are Grantham's defenders and he has had time to put his guys in place now. He either is up to the task this year or he isn't.

This past season he wasn't up to the task of teaching defenders even how to line up.

Hey look, you finally grew a pair and made a prediction. Not a huge pair, considering you predicted top 4 in the SEC and top 20 overall, which is pretty tepid for a guy you have been fellating nonstop for months. But a safe prediction is better than no prediction at all, I guess.

And frankly, I hope I have underestimated the defense this year. Hell, I hope YOU have underestimated the defense this year. This is a prediction I want to get badly wrong. I want to be eating huge helpings of crow while I am shopping for my new UF NC T-shirts.

But, let me tell you what I don't want. I don't want him to be just barely good enough to hold on to his job. I want a rousing success, or, failing that, a spectacular failure. Because at least with a spectacular failure we can cut our losses, move on and try with somebody new in the hopes of future rousing successes.
