And we all know that Pre-Season predictions mean sooooooo much.

Remember that Athlon pre-season SEC Basketball prediction last year you were crowing about?.
Lizzerds #1 and UT #13

Hit that right on the head didn't they?

Dude I wouldn't be talking smack about Gator baseball, basketball, softball or football for that matter. We have titles in all four (back to back in basketball and softball), you have a runner up in baseball in 1950 and as many tournament appearances as we do College World Series berths. I think it's safe to assume Florida will be a player in the title chase.

Enjoy your #1 ranking in basketball for however long that lasts. Perhaps you may actually make a run in March. Something we've done multiple times

Congrats on your greatest sport though, ladies basketball. R.I.P Pat Summitt. She is an icon and rightfully has her name on your court.

The post was aimed at Instaspacegoober. Not Florida sports.

He gave me hell over that Athlon PRE-SEASON Prediction last year. Until about the start of SEC play. I am just needling him over that. Nothing more. No insults. No aspersions toward any Florida sport team or the university.

PRE-SEASON Predictions, not the status of a particular sport at a particular university and his complete belief in them when they have Florida ranked high.

They are MEANINGLESS as once play is begun, injuries, pitching woes, unforseen challenges from back in the pack, etc can all happen. Yes, I expect Florida to win the SEC Baseball title ( and softball title) again this year. But there are a couple of teams ( not UT as they brought in a new coach last year and are all Freshmen and Sophs. They lost 4 of their top 5 incoming recruits to the spring MLB Draft ) who could challenge them.

Lame Kiffen was picked to win it all at USC in PRE-SEASON 2012. I think they lost something like their last 6 or 5 of their last 6.

The Trojans I talked to on their board were not thrilled.

Insta attracts all kinds of love.:D

Still see that foul ball falling between three Arkansas players, any one of which could have caught it if they weren’t afraid of winning.

No, there's only a handfull (snicker) of circle jerks. MadDog-dollie and the dunnygoater just have the catfish mouths, backed up by their tadpole brains....
Then they have a small group of suck-ups that like their village idiot postings...
Dog-pokers and nailed-heads and their like....

Getting my exercise by bitch-slappin' them occasionally is about all they're good for imo.

I appreciate your love for Gator sports. CircleJerks sounds like a old 80s sports comedy. Like the bad news bears or benchwarmers.

As Dyson prepares for the start of his junior season – the Gators opened preseason practice on Friday. Dyson is set to make his first opening-night start when UF hosts Long Beach State on Feb. 15. He will become the 11th different opening-night starter in 12 seasons for UF head coach Kevin O'Sullivan.
(O'Sul just keeps on rolling them through to MLB)

In his first two seasons, Dyson was behind upperclassmen Alex Faedo, Singer and Kowar. He is now a veteran in a starting rotation that will feature sophomores Tommy Mace and Jack Leftwich to open the season.

OF/RHP Kirby McMullen 5-11 200 Jr
RHP/INF Garrett Mitchin 6-5 200 rsSo.
LHP/IB Jordan Butler 6-0 185 So

I hope Dyson is ready to step up and be THE guy this year. All the talent in the world and he was key to the national title 2 years ago. Last year he was just off his game and it got in his head and he could never get back on track. Should be a fun and interesting team to watch. Planning to go to several of their games.

O'Sul will bring the Gator pitching up to the Gator Standard, he always does.

I'm really interested in seeing how all of the young guys in the Bull-Pen settle out as the season progresses... o_O
