Which part specifically?

Mac being "decent"? He doesnt have elite players but has found a way to win the east 2 years in a row. Yeah the east isnt spectacular but u won it twice with him. Hes not great on gameday or anything but he is avg

As far as jimbo being able to out recruit him. Fsu has consistently been in the top 5 of recruiting and there are reports that coach mac rubs some high school coaches the wrong way/burned some bridges. They might be false reports but i dont see him pulling a lot of top guys.

As far as UF selling itslef, it is a national brand that im sure many kids want to play for as long as the right situation is there for them. Gators can offer playing time, chance to build UF back up, good academically.

I don't think this matters as much as you guys think it does. 17 year olds are all about what's hot, if you can sell them something, they'll sign up regardless.

Look at FSU when Jimbo took over...they had been down for a decade and were getting beatdown by the likes of Wake Forest and we were the hot team and Jimbo sold a vision and started racking up. Or look at Tennessee...when Butch Jones took over they were fresh off consecutive 5-7 seasons and had been down more than a decade. He came in and sold his Vol for Life, Brick by Brick BS and they started racking up top classes. Don't even have to go back far for us....Muschamp got a top 10 class after a 4-8 season by selling change with a new OC, playing faster, etc. There are plenty of examples of this happening at schools that have been losing for a long time. We haven't even been down that long, we were in a Sugar Bowl 4 years ago. And had a 10-2 regular season last year which you would think would have led to a better class.

I think they mean he was a 4* on Rivals prior to attending junior college. This is an odd recruiting situation, kid was a 4* last year with good offers and had absolutely no interest from big programs this time around.

Leatherwood is pretty much officially off the table now and JUCO OT D'Marcus Hayes just committed to Georgia. We had been chasing Hayes for months and Georgia just got involved recently and they land him. Mac and them better do something quick because they are getting worked in recruiting big time and our biggest rival Georgia has been cleaning house the last 2 cycles.

Recruiting will determine McElwain's fate, no doubt. He salvaged a decent class when he first took over. I expected last year to be a Top 5 class and is was nowhere near. And this year's class SHOULD be Top 10 at least and right now it's not looking good. If we finish in the bottom half of the SEC in recruiting for a 2nd straight year, that will not bode well for his long term success. The guy has personality, his players seem to give their all for him, so I just don't understand how and why he's not getting his share of top level recruits. We'll see for sure on NSD.

Richt isn't going to have a top 10 class this year on NSD. Right now Miami's star average is 23rd in the country. Richt actually isn't having a very good bump recruiting class himself right now.
