Wow! Is it really Week 5 already?!?!? Crazy how fast it goes...

These Gators have given us two thrilling finishes in back to back weeks. First a Hail Mary non-Hail Mary, then a late game score and hold. Will it happen again? Could it possibly come down to the last series? You bet it could...and it will...

sadgator sees Del Rio starting and the offense looking shaky once again, Franks will play, Zaire might play, Toney will line up at QB, and somehow someway, Florida will line up for a game winning 40+ yrd field goal to win it at the gun....

Florida...20
Vandy...17

I wonder how Vandy will come out for this game after that physical beating they took against Bama. If they come out motivated it will probably come down to the last couple of minutes.

Who puts the basic game plan together for the VU game?

Who makes the game day play calls?

Who decides the starters and the depth chart?

Without knowing the details for any of that, my W-a-G is UF wins...

The last time we played Vandy at the Swamp, we trounced them to the tune of 9-7. Treon Harris passed for 150 yards on 26 attempts and 13 completions. No TDs and one int. We rushed for 93 yards on 34 attempts. Austin Hardin missed the extra point, but made the game winning FG.

Total domination.

And in 2016, Appelby passed for 144 yards yards on 28 attempts and 19 completions, no TDs and no INTs. We rushed for 92 yards on 39 carries and won 13-6. Pineiro was 2-2 of FG and Scarlett ran for 1 TD.

TOTAL DOMINATION

I think we win, but who knows how it will happen? I still don't have any idea what kind of team we have and, after the beatdown against Alabama, I have no idea what kind of mindframe Vandy will come with. I just think we'll win the game and, to me, that's all that matters.

TOTAL DOMINATION

in 2015 Mc was 13 - 6 (-7) to a 6-7 VU
In 2016 Mc was 9 - 7 (-2) to a 4-8 VU
VU's 2 season combined W/L was 10-15.

But before you rag to much on Mc for his Vandy games, maybe you should consider a little bit of UF/VU history:

In 2011 it was UF 26 - 21 VU (-5)
In 2013 the musclecramp lost to Vandy 17 - 34.(+17) breaking a 24 year UF win streak.

In 2006, BCS-NC Meyer & Heisman Tebow, was 25 - 19 (-6) @ 4-8 VU
At home in 2005, it was UF 49 - 42 VU (-7)

In 2002, the Zookster was 21 - 17 (-4) @ a 2-10 VU.

In 1999, the 'Evil Genius' was 13 - 6 (-7) VU in the SWAMP.
In 1996, mNC Spurrier with Danny Wonderful was 28 - 21 (-7) @ 2-9 VU

In 2 of the 3 years that UF won the NC, they only beat VU by 13 pts combined in those 2 games.
And Vandy only had a combined 6-17 W/L record in those 2 seasons.

IMOHO, any win over Vandy is a good win...

Holy Moses that is just pathetic and terrible. Sometimes it just smacks you in the face and wakes you up when you see it quantified.

The scary part is how accurate all that looks going into this game..

It's some of my fault, my first post on this board was the day of one of our first ugly forever addazio wins over Tennessee in 2010.. At halftime that day, Florida football fans were forever unhappy.
