Why it matters when China pays MILLIONS to your family

This has actually been our position since Nixon (One China).

The understanding is that China would also leave Taiwan alone.

The question remains, if China defaults on that understanding, do we default on our One China position? It gets pretty hairy at that point.

Our biggest key is that we need Semiconductor independence just as we need energy independence.
Having 70% of them produced from a country that is within 100 miles of China is a recipe for disaster.

We need to bring that home, and THAT part of the IRA (bad name) I fully support.

This is also why I loathe monopolistic structures and concentration risk in all forms - not just here, but also in areas like - Teachers Unions.

But not what he said last year in an interview. He said we would protect Taiwan.

It’s fairly clear that China has us by the balls. They slapped Blinken around all weekend and pretty clearly told him to get on message. It’s not Biden’s fault that China owns us. We sold them our supply chains and manufacturing sector 30 years ago. Now we depend on them for antibiotics and ammunition. That’s called checkmate. But it is Biden’s fault that we’re pissing all our money (and munitions) away in Ukraine when we should be plowing it into rebuilding manufacturing here.

If this world doesn’t make sense to you, start viewing everything through the lens of a captured West running policy for China’s benefit. You’ll be surprised how logical everything becomes.

Isn’t it interesting that we were energy independent and that China lacks fossil fuels. And now the west is voluntarily depriving itself of fossil fuels while the Chinese plow full speed ahead using coal and oil (that we sell to them out of the SPR(!)) to entrench their manufacturing dominance? And what country has a monopoly on the materials necessary for ESG policy?

If you can’t see this, you are a child.

Do you think China is powering this with wind farms? Wake up people. It is global economic warfare and we’re worried about installing battery plug ins for our tanks and making sure we’ve got enough LGBTQ people in command. We are going to get smacked.
No...they play to WIN...not seduce idiots about man made climate change.

Yes, that was incredibly stupid, irresponsible and dangerous.

Luckily it seems pretty clear that China recognizes that he's an empty suit (or vessel if you prefer) and a non-contributory figurehead within this administration.
