Demps was so fast he would beat a guy trying to take an angle on him. And in that first clip he barely looked like he was running hard. I was always blown away by guys like him and Percy who looked like they were jogging but could absolutely fly!
At RB, would you rather have:
Errict Rhett or Jeff Demps?
Emmitt Smith, or Jeff Demps?
Fred Taylor or Jeff Demps?
I could go on,,,, but yes, Olympics level speed is nice to have.
WR Chris Doering to a reporter that asked him about being slow...

I say shoot for both. A player like demps is more effective when you have a solid every down back like Rhett or Smith. I think the threat of a Tebow run is what helps give demps the hole to run through. It is nice to have that home run threat you can break out every game as another weapon. But you definitely want those other guys first.
I live almost 500 miles w=away from the stadium, and work most Saturdays...but I was there for that game!
As I'm sure that everyone know, although sometimes forget, Track speed and Football speed are not the same speeds.
The football team has several very fast 'football speed' guys on the roster.
Lingard, Bowman, and Graham are 3 that come to mind immediately, but there are several others with top flight 'football speed' for their positions, so no speed worries imo.
Jeff Demps, Percy Harvin, and Chris Rainey OMG.....those were the days when we owned the SEC. I'd kill to have 3 guys anything like they were.
I loved Demps when he did get loose but the problem was his last 3 years here he didn't get loose too much against our strongest opponents. I think he may have had a few decent returns against them though. I guess a lot of that was us being handled at the line though in those games in 2010 and 2011 at least.

Yep Harvin was in another league when it came to playing the powerhouse teams. Just crazy football speed.
