I'm sure that most posters on this board have already heard this, but for anyone who hasn't -
"...Ahead of today’s game—a big 24-13 win over No. 7 Auburn in Gainesville—Franks updated CBS on his situation. With one year of eligibility left, he is not sure if he’ll return to UF, or transfer elsewhere to finish his college career.
Feleipe Franks told @JamieErdahl that he's "not sure" whether he's going to come back to Florida with one year of eligibility remaining. Will decide once recovered 100 percent. Not a surprise. #Gators."

Both of them are listed as RS Juniors for this year, meaning that they would have another year of eligibility as RS Seniors.
I doubt that either one would want to be in a QB competition for the starting job over the spring & fall going into next year.
"...The injury suffered must be "incapacitating", meaning it must be a season-ending injury. The injury must occur during the first half of the season. The player must have competed in no more than 30% of the season or four games, whichever is greater."
Kentucky was our third game, so Franks could theoretically apply for an additional medical redshirt to give him two more years of playing time.
Don't see that medical application happening; With the above comments from Franks, his return even for one year seems questionable; after everything Trask has endured, I feel much more confident about his return.
