OKC is collapsing and looks like they might be looking at another first round exit. He's probably safe, and he probably doesn't want to return to college, but things would get interesting quickly if he became available.

Not coming back here. Maybe he would take a challenge at his alma mater? Our some struggling blue blood would go all out for him like a UCLA or Indiana

Bring him back, I think MW ended up doing a good job with what we had this year...not super high on him but this recruiting class is going to determine his future at UF IMO...professional sports are a meat grinder. I would never coach them... college is way more forgiving.

Love what BillyD did while at UF.
But I don't want him back.
I'm sold on Mike White, the young and possibly better version of BillyD.

It's like I love SOS, but i'd never trade away Mullen to have him back as the really ole HBC.

Mike White will never be as good as Billy D.

This crazy talk.

I doubt he would want to come back to college, but I would take him back if he were committed.

I agree that UCLA or some underperforming blue blood would back up the truck for him. He won't get fired this year, although a first round sweep would make things interesting. Then, he'd probably prefer to stay in the NBA, but he wouldn't necessarily get a good job there.

Billy D could have been one of the all time college greats, in the class with Wooden, Coach K & Bobby Knight, if he had stayed at UF. But that ship has sailed, IMO.

Not if he decides to come back and wins again with another college program.

I do agree he was on his way to becoming one of the all time greats.

No chance he comes back

You think he would only take an NBA job or a UCLA-level college job? I could see that. That's what Pitino did, basically. I think he could get another NBA job, but there's only so many good ones. He'd be lucky to find another situation with Durant/Paul George and Westbrook on the roster.

And probably he will keep his job in OKC. But he will be feeling serious heat if they lose in the first round again. And they will lose in the first round if they're the 8 seed. I could see them giving Denver a run at the 7 seed.

Agree. He has nothing left to prove at UF...

And what are we gonna do, can Mike White just cause he is available...never happen...

If Billy gets let go from the NBA, he should take the money, retire, and spend time in the forest tubs with Christine...maybe do some consulting or lower level coaching, but it is hard to see him wanting to build a program back up again...

When I said that ship has sailed I meant as far as him coming back to UF.

He wouldn’t... I’d see him going somewhere new or live off his Millions.

Hamilton retires and Billy D comes back to the college game at FSU. It’s Pitino all over again.
