I just read a bunch of posts...it´s the rule, he should have known better, blah blah blah...maybe I have been living in Colombia too long or maybe it´s part of the reason I left the US but I´d tell the NCAA to fvck off...we´re suspending Grier for one of the biggest games of the year and that´s it. Make an exception. It was a nothing mistake...he didn´t rape or beat up anyone...he took an over the counter drug not realising it had something bad in it...he´s a kid...he fessed up...the University fessed up...no attempt whatsoever to cover up.
I´d tell the NCAA we´re suspending him for one game and he´s gonna play the rest. We will not forfeit any games...they can rule what they want...but we will not agree to forfeit...if they want to keep us out of a bowl or the SEC championship for this, so be it. Go through the appeals process but if we lose, we lose but we are not going to stand by and accept a punishment that so outweighs the ¨crime.¨
