We hired Houston OC Brian Johnson

He played for Utah and passed for over 7,000 yards in his career. He dismantled a Saban coached Alabama in the Sugar Bowl after we beat them in the SEC title game enroute to a national title.

He was on the cover of an NCAA football video game. He began his coaching career under Mullen at MSU as a QB coach for a few years before becoming the Houston OC either this past year or year before. He is 30 years old and enjoys eating smores while listening to old AC DC songs when studying the opposing pass coverage.

His name is Brian Johnson, and he likes AC/DC?

Did he do that on purpose?

I nvr heard of him but to be fair i dont really pay attention to non florida teams. From the teams he has coached, he seems to have done well.

This is a really good hire IMO

Cosign.

I had mentioned before that I had hoped Mullen would bring in somebody he could mentor and could bring fresh ideas...we got exactly that. We just got a coordinator to come as a position coach. And a good coordinator too, Houston's offense was top 30 last year. So now we got two highly qualified QB coaches working with the QB's.

Oozie, your insights are usually pretty good IMO. My only question or concern is whether we currently have any QB's in school that these new coaches can actually work with to bring them up to the standards needed to compete for titles?

I don't think so personally. Maybe Toney if they move him back there. I think whoever we sign this year will eventually take over. We're gonna have to be patient.

Damn I miss those games.
They claimed they discontinued it because of licensing I think. They never used players names in the games but their likeness and being on the freaking cover kind of makes that a moot point.

Still I loved those games even though the commentary was beyond repetitive.

I just use NCAA 14 and then download the new rosters each year.

It’s fantastic. If you haven’t done it, they are just as good as the rosters EA put out AND they update the coaching staffs.

Where do you download the rosters from? And do you need an online account?

My boys and I would spend literal days smoking weed, drinking guinness and playing 24/7, just passing out intermittently on couches and recliners and waking up to get on deck for the next game. We were like 30. Lol!

That was all we did in between class. That and Madden. We used to set up our own tournaments and play.

And yep the Swamp was #1. The pu$$ies I played with always had the homefield advantage turned off during the tournaments because it wasn't fair they couldn't audible smh.

The coolest aspect was how the crowd would get fired up and your controller would start shaking and your guys couldn't hear your audible calls. It could legitimately rattle you. Swamp was No. 1 stadium back in the day.

Didn't it also make kickoffs harder in top 10 road games? I remember playing as Florida at LSU and the controller vibrating. It would quiet down once I would go up a few scores.

Were they Seminole fans?

Once it becomes backwards compatible, i will buy the new xbox and do this. Havent played video games since no new games.

Jesus u sound like a loser.

I would stay up for hours to finish a season just so I could recruit. I'd always get that one diamond in the rough from somewhere like Delaware, Maine, or Alaska on purpose and eventually turn him into a Heisman winner.

That explains your love for Mac's diamonds in the rough :D
