It’s sheep buying into a narrative their politicians have sold them on. The politicians sell it for power, they go along because their politics run on faith. That’s why no evidence or fact based arguments will ever work. The only hope is something in their day to day lives gets bad enough the faith is weakened. By then it’s too late.
It’s like trying to convince a creationist they are wrong using archeology. Faith is immensely powerful once fully adopted.

I think that's definitely part of it. But I also think democratic policies are designed to make us miserable people. Miserable people have no hope. That's why they cling to 'causes' that the dems invent. And to your point, they believe blindly, so they support 'clean energy' which is actually destroying the very environment they claim to want to save. They support abortion because they blindly believe it's healthcare, when in fact its murder.
Dems prey on emotional thinkers and offers them invented problems that have no solution. Thus they are trapped in a life of misery.
Neither am I, but I've always thought/felt/believed that both are in operation and that God intended to have it that way.... Things are created, they evolve and continue to do so, until they either attain physical immortality, or they go physically extinct. Meanwhile the soul continues either way, due to the Law of Conservation of Energy, which is neither created nor destroyed, it just is....
