@sadgator you've asked me several times if I thought this was a health crisis or not. Every time I told you it was not, every time you claimed I never answered you.
But your 'trump' card that you were too scared to play was this: "A-ha! So if it's NOT a health crisis, why is Trump calling it one???? Why is he shutting down the country???? Huh? Huh? HUH?????"
Anyone who can be honest knows what would have happened if Trump hadn't shut the country down. The media would have spun that he was a mass murderer. The number of deaths would have been greatly exaggerated, we would have already been in the millions. And every night, CNN would remind us "every one of these deaths were preventable if only Trump had listened to medical experts and shut the country down". Grandmothers would have been interviewed on skype, boo-hooing over their sons and daughters that died, screaming that Trump murdered them.
Everyone here knows that would have happened. Trump knew it too, so he broke the opposite way: He followed everything the medical 'experts' suggested. He shut the country down, he gave NY all the help it asked for, most of which it never needed.
Then.....his masterstroke of brilliance, when it came time to reopen the country, he didn't just announce that HE was reopening the country, he said nope....the states can decide when to reopen. We will give them guidelines to follow, but they decide when to reopen.
And what happened almost immediately? Republican governors said cool, let's reopen, let's get back to normal, this is killing our economy and people are losing everything, including their lives.
What did democratic governors say? Oh HELLS NO! We aint going NO WHERE for months if not YEARS! So sit that ass back on the couch, your hair and nails being cut aint worth instant death!!!!
Trump knew what would happen if he gave dem governors the power to decide when to reopen. They wouldn't They would stay shut as long as possible and IF possible, wreck their state's economy.
@bradleygator's dem governor has already said it will be 'several weeks' before he'll even entertain the idea of starting PHASE ONE of reopening. Young bradley will likely be quarantined at home for the rest of the year.
That's a lot of time to sit on your ass and contemplate if maybe voting dem wasnt the smartest play. Trump put the power in the hands of the dems to show the sheep what would happen. He's tried to tell them for years, they won't listen.
Bet they are listening now.
