He was looked ill on the sidelines the last few games. The guy also just doesn’t take losing well and he went to the worst team in the league. He basically became unhinged. NFL is probably not a good place for him.

You have NO idea the scuttlebutt I heard about Meyer back when he was coaching the Gators. He was looked ill on the sidelines the last few games.
That again? He was looked ill on the sidelines the last few games.
That was the Titanic and Hindenburg rolled into one.I'm confused why he ever accepted the job to begin with. If it were just to coach in the NFL, surely there were better opportunities between his stint at OSU and now.
People always say college coaches aren't good in the NFL. Not necessarily true. It's usually the CEO types that aren't. The laid back kind of coaches or the play callers are the ones who can move from the NCAA to the NFL. Pete Carroll has won a Superbowl. Kliff Kingsbury has one of the better more exciting teams this year. Jim Harbaugh did well but got a raw deal. Honestly Chip Kelly didn't do too bad.As I said when he took over. His best asset was recruiting and motivating. Neither is a premium for NFL head coaches. Mullen would do much better in the NFL

Why Spur's, Saban, Butch Davis and now Meyer have failed. Control freaks for the most part.
I agree that Mullen would do better than Urban in the NFL.
I never thought Meyer going to the NFL was going to work but he's a winner so I was wait and see.The guy also just doesn’t take losing well and he went to the worst team in the league. He basically became unhinged. NFL is probably not a good place for him.
College to NFL back to College then back to the NFLDidn't Pete Carroll start in the NFL? Not arguing your points, I think you make great points but I thought Pete was nfl first
College to NFL back to College then back to the NFL
Getting pissy and acting like a little sh*t when things don't go your way also doesn't work well in the NFL.As I said when he took over. His best asset was recruiting and motivating. Neither is a premium for NFL head coaches. Mullen would do much better in the NFL

I meant Mullen, actually.Urban has to be the main alpha in the room at all times, it doesn't work well in the NFL. I just don't think ANY of his best assets translate well to the NFL. He's an elite college coach. Top 3 for sure.
I meant Mullen, actually.
As long as no one questions what he does.Oh, I think Mullen as an OC in the NFL would work wonders. Jmo
Carroll was an assistant at 6 colleges from 1973-1983, then an NFL assistant with the Bills, Vikings and Jets between 1983-1993 before becoming head coach of the Jets in 1994. That lasted a year. He was an assistant for the 49'ers in 1995 &1996, then head coach for the Patriots from 1997-1999. Then he became head coach at USC from 2001-2009, where he cheated like crazy, then bailed to the Seahawks in 2010 before the NCAA put the hammer down on Trojans, stripped Reggie Bush of his Heisman and cost USC a two-year bowl ban, the elimination of thirty football scholarships, and forfeiture of some football victories from 2004 to 2005 (a season which had included winning the Bowl Championship Series title), and all team victories from the undefeated 2005–06 regular season.Maybe I just wasn't old enough lol
I used to, but now am not so sure. His playcalling was pretty good the first few years, but got stale this year. Same few plays over and over.Oh, I think Mullen as an OC in the NFL would work wonders. Jmo
