Here at UF he replaced a good OC in Dan Mullen and gave the keys to his Oline coach to be the oline coach and OC in Addazio and we see how that worked out?

He losses Tom Herman and replaces him with his oline coach. Very rarely do you have success having your oline coach also be the OC. Ohio States offense is terrible and it is loaded with talent.

Thought the same thing watching them all year. Like didn't you do exactly this at UF? Both times the offense crashed and burned.

Then again you know you are damn good when a 17-14 loss gets thia much attention when its the firat regular season conference loss in 31 games

I love that the premise of this thread is "Meyer replaced a good OC in Mullen..."

Lol...yes...because hindsight leave do revisionist history.

Should be Meyer replaced a 'better' OC in Mullen. That said, Mullen has really grown as a coach. His offense is more dynamic now from a play calling standpoint that it was here. And he's 100X better than Addazio at a minimum.

Agreed. In addition, for all the ridicule we heaped on Mullen while he was here, that 2008 offense was a very dynamic offense.

Really hard not to be with the insane talent on it.
True. But it was very diverse. We could run with multiple people and had a very good passing attack. The route trees were not particularly complicated, but with the threat of a running QB, they did not need to be.
