Update: Bucks, Rockets and Thunder boycott

Funny thing is, as soon as I heard that a couple of teams were boycoting last night's playoff game, my first thought was "now Lebron will have to say the Lakers should cancel their whole season, to prove he's more 'woke'.

These sheep are easier to read than a comic book. All this over a criminal who was resisting arrest. The left is full sending it straight into the toilet

Cancelled their season? If no one here posted about it, I'd have never known. And now that I know, I still don't G-a-S. 😏

This is a natural byproduct of athletes being paid up to $50 Million a year to play a silly ballgame. They develop an almost 'godlike' complex. They feel like what the fans want or think is absolutely meaningless.

I'm fine with canceling all sports. Then watch as guys like LeBron go on Oprah to continue to lecture to us.

They are swirling down the toilet. I say let them flush themselves. Let's get back to getting athletes that love the game first, not the paycheck.

And if the college athletes want to get paid, then they should skip college and go straight to Pro Ball out of HS. Just like any other HS grad that want's an immediate paying job.

I'd be fine with college sports returning to intramural sports with bare minimum monetary support from the institution. And then the STUDENT/athletes could return to having to meet the general admission standards to be admitted to the school.

It's long past time for the arrogant and entitled to get a freakin' WAKE-UP call...

Apart from being aware that Anthony Davis is with the Lakers I couldn't tell you which former UK players are on any particular team. I frankly don't care if they never play again to be honest.
As a lifelong Laker fan, I doubt Anthony Davis will re-sign with the Lakers. I hear he is testing free agency after the season. Something tells me he doesn't like playing alongside Le Bend Over for China James.

I follow the NBA and I think it was a nice statement. They were willing to put their paychecks on the line. Much more altruistic than just posting on a message board.

I am with you brother. I used to follow careers of UK players. I am about done with UK football after what happened today. The money is going to dry up quick. I cant read what is on the uk football board, but I bet people are not happy.

Good. Hope this happens at every SEC school.

Too many people are still sitting on their asses. Nothing changes till we all get off the sidelines and get on the field.

Lamumba counseled 'a small group' of NBA players amid boycotts

The long legged Mack Daddy is a POS

This is very reminiscent of the Civil Rights boycotts of the 1960s. When a company harbors and supports ill intent and racial prejudice against particular groups of people you speak with your wallet and show them how displeased you are. I commend the NBA for finally taking a stand against China’s oppression of Muslims and Taiwan. This is great news.

This is what happened right?
