What gives? UF for the past 3 games has been awful. Embarrassing we lost to you guys. We must be really bad this year. Embarrassing for the SEC that we all suck so bad in the east.

Which of the ten teams we beat is yours?

I am going to guess Tennessee. Or maybe UGA.

the SEC East was insanely bad this year. Almost certainly the worst division in football.

Tennessee was the best team, if they only had a coach with a clue they would have made much more of a splash.

You really need to narrow the field of which team is "us", since we beat every team in the SEC East this season. Regardless, all of the teams in the SEC East suck ..... especially UT & UK. Nothing like 11-game and 29-game losing streaks. :D

The only thing embarrassing for Tennessee was not beating Oklahoma when it had the chance all game long. That just proved that the vols never had the RIGHT Stuff that it takes to be a champion. I doubt that your QB will be asked to be a NASA astronaut anytime soon, lol. Florida and Arkansas were competitive enough to win their games against the vols. Your team blew it again against Alabama.

In fact, Florida and Alabama owns Tennessee as evidence by their long winning streaks over the vols. Next season, Florida will again rebuild their team from scratch and probably win again with a brand new Gator quarterback (i.e, Luke Del Rio or Trask/Franks). How many different UF QB's have defeated Tennessee during this 11-game winning streak? Let's see, counting backwards:
- Will Grier (2015)
- Treon Harris (2014)
- Tyler Murphy (2013)
- Jeff Driskel (2012)
- John Brantley (2011, 2010)
- Tim Tebow (2009, 2008, 2007)
- Chris Leak (2006, 2005)

Someone ought to write a book about the Florida-Tennessee rivalry and show how the Gators have been owning the vols decade after decade.

Yes, Utenn has been the best for the last 11 years. Unfortunately they have not been able to prove it on the field.

No, they haven't. But this year they were. I am no UT fan but IMO their program is currently in much better shape than UF's.

I suspect the streak will end next year in Knoxville, but you guys always seem to work them so i prob wouldn't bet too much on that.

How can a program be in much better shape when they haven't beaten UF in 11 consecutive tries. They haven't been in the SEC title game in who knows how long. How does one come to that conclusion? Also last time I checked they still have Butch Jones as their coach.

Last Year the SECe was called weak.
They only went 5-0 in their bowls.

They are weak again this year.
They still went 2-1 in a conference that is 8-2 in their bowls.

UF, with it's many problems in McElwain's 1st year still won 10 games.
The fact that UF (with a backup QB) had it's worst game of the season, at the same time that Mich (rsSr QB from Iowa) had their best game of the season, leads to a big spread in the score. It still only counts as 1 loss for 10-4 UF, and only as 1 win for 10-3 Mich. Both finished with 10 wins. o_O

The best in the SEC UA 38 - 0 MichSt the best in the Big-10/12
SEC-C game UF 15 - 29 UA.

I do understand how big of a deal it is for any Mich team to beat a UF/SEC team, but it's just not that big of a deal for us this season, and it doesn't change anything important for us, as a team or as fans. Sorry we're not more impressed by your team or with Har-blow...

In my opinion, their depth chart is better by a good clip. That is how I came to that conclusion.

Butch lost them a couple of games this year, and I assume he learned something. Could be wrong tho...

You sir are clearly not a Gator.. I could really go in right now but these guys are doing just fine no need for me to pinch hit..

There is a difference between having more overall talent and being a better team. Florida has the better team while UT might well have more and better overall talent.

Florida will never be what it was because you don't have Urban anymore. He used Florida as a stepping stone, like he did BG and Utah to get his dream job. Can you truely blame him?

Meh, they choked. If they had a coach worth a damn they'd be playing in the playoffs. They pretty much handled us for the entirety of our game, led OU for 55+ minutes with most of that being by double digits, and also handled Bama for the majority of that game. That's us, a 10-win team and 1/2 of the Final 4. UT should have been an 11-win team, they're good. But at the end of the day you have to close and they didn't.

Their defense is pretty average. Coker had his worst game in his life against them and kept sacking himself against 4 man rushes with the safeties playing off the screen. OU wasn't really worth a damn to begin with

Hence the term "team."

A team consists of the players AND the coaches.

As long as every coach we have wins two NCs, they are welcome to use us a stepping stone anytime they want.

True...TN was a few plays off from being a team with a very good record and the SEC East champ.

Only bc the coach would be considered part of the team.

I would suspect their coach learned a lot this last year, but we won't know until next season

The streak has another big test next year in Knoxville

You might be overlooking some critical facts in forming your 'opinion,' by a good clip. o_O

Recruit Class Rankings:

Current Rivals ranking:
2016 - 6. UF -- 26. Tn

2015 - 23. UF -- 5. Tn
2014 - 8. UF -- 5. Tn
2013 - 4. UF -- 21. Tn
2012 - 3. UF -- 17. Tn
Totals - UF 44/5 = 8.8 -- Tn 74/5 = 14.8

So, going by the Mad-Dog-Dollie's favorite (rivals) site, it's not really that close.
The Head-BJ's recruiting BS was pretty good (1st 2 years), at least until recruits got a chance to see his dufus on-the-field results....

2013 UF/Musclecramp 31 - 17 Tennis-sea Head-BJ
2014 UF/Misschimp 10 - 9 Tennis-sea Head-BJ (UF fired the muschump)
2015 UF/Mr.Ed 28 - 27 Tennis-sea Head-BJ (McElwain's 1st year)

* And a nice bonus is the Gators waxing the leghumpers the last 2 years.
(they also like to think that they have the best players/team....)

Dunnellon? You live in that backwater hellhole? You have to some 78 year old retired machinist who can't afford to live anywhere but Dunnellon. Did you even attend Ohio State?

Tell me sports fan, if Ohio is so great why'd you move here?
