UF 4* Commits - Chief Borders Now Eligible; Carlos Del Rio Still Ineligible by GHSA - Del Rio Says Dec Early Entry to UF

#1 ATH 6’5 242 WR/OLB ChiefBorders was deemed ineligible by GHSA lawyer’s DCT are working diligently to get him cleared, Borders family has done everything Per regulations.

I searched Internet, but I have no idea what DCT stands for; if anyone else does please respond.

Q - What happened to get him declared ineligible?
A - My understanding is that it’s a transfer issue, rather than a grades issue.

Statements -

"Just a reminder that being declared ineligible for HS football following a transfer does not have any bearing on completing classwork or your eligibility for college football. He won’t have a problem enrolling at any college."

Something easy to get straightened out - Like a Visa problem ?

There was a high chance of a flip by him anyway right?

Game Stats: Borders is ineligible after transferring high schools.

Seems as though, his ineligibility stems from some screwed up paperwork from his transfer. Guess Ga High Schools Recruit players just like the ones in Florida.

Borders was also ruled ineligible this season by the GHSAA after transferring from McEachern high school last year.

His transfer was flagged and despite appealing, he was found ineligible.

Del Rio lost an appeal Tuesday when the GHSA’s board of trustees ruled that didn’t meet the association’s rules for transfers. He posted his frustration on his Twitter account.

According to GHSA bylaws, a transfer is eligible immediately at a new school only if he moves into the service area (typically the school district) of the new school before attending. He must move “simultaneously with the entire parental unit or persons he/she resided with at the former school,” according to GHSA bylaws. The parents also must have relinquished their former residence.

From Del Rio's Twitter account - "So let me get this straight -
I can’t play my senior year bc my adopted brother that’s in Alabama playing football didn’t move with me????

Del Rio is frustrated at the end result of his transfer process, but later tweeted that he won't be looking to transfer to play elsewhere and rather will focus on school in order to enroll at UF in December.

I think you all are taking sadgator too serious. That is the first part of the misunderstanding. Mrs Sadgator refers to him as Chief behind closed doors.
