UConn hasn’t been “competing on the gridiron” for years...
They may have the worst team in D1. I think UCONN football losses money so it may be better to not even play at all for them.
They don't care about football. They left a decent G5 conference to join the Big East for basketball purposes.

I just don't know whether or not football season will happen. As much as we want it and with all the money that is involved, I know the AD's and conference officials are trying to find a way. But this virus is out there and in spite of the media-driven fear-mongering and politicization of a virus, most people are genuinely scared. Personally I'm not concerned, but I understand those who are - you just don't know who or what to believe and it's got honest people confused.

Agree. They don’t belong to a conference and it looks like all P5 conferences are going to conference only scheduling and they’re not Notre Dame so who do they play. I think they saw this and headed it off In order to not look so bad.
Yep. I know people who legit believe everything the media is saying about this, and they are terrified. I feel so bad for them.
Notre Dame’s weak affiliation with the ACC saved them this season. Even with the ACC going to +1 there wouldn’t be much incentive to get a game against Notre Dame especially for us when it could mean bowl game or no bowl game.
