UCF to play Auburn in Peach Bowl (Jan. 1)

"Official" invitation by announcement on the College Football Playoff selection show Sunday [†].

As much as I despise Auburn, I must apply the SEC-prestige exemption to my gut-level hatred for those schizo Plainsmen-Tigers. War Eagle!

It'll be fascinating to see:
• how well UCF travels out-of-state, considering persistent local reports that they travel poorly to their average on-campus home games; and
• how UCF plays scoring defense--hypothetically, of course.

I could see some UCF fans going to this game. I would lean to Auburn winning but you never know with these bowl games and Auburn being down about losing the SECCG. I don't think UCF is at the level of a team like Utah that beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl in the 2008 season.
