If social media sites get regulated, that likely means the protections websites like this one have covering users posting likely goes away. In which case these sites would be liable for user content that they are protected from now. I suspect a lot of sites would just revoke our ability to post rather than take on additional exposure to potential liability. And I couldn't blame them honestly.
Or they will eschew censorship like a platform is supposed to do and carry on. Illegal activity is all they should care about. Of course it will hurt revenue as the site becomes a free for all and some of the offended PC crowd will leave

First a double agent spy can make up a dossier about Trump pissing on whores and getting Russian help with no proof of accuracy and that leads to hidden basement hearings and makes Adam Schiff's eyes bulge more than their normal 60% popped out. all of this with the help of partisan assholes in the FBI and DOJ and we are expected to believe this as does the FISA court............
Second the hard drive off of Hunter Biden's macbook is tfound and contains emails showing Joe lied through his tremor chattering teeth and we can not have the public looking at those because they are not accurate.
