i know all my little sheep are raging liberals, that call themselves conservatives simply because they thump the bible once or twice a week. In my mind, thumping is a liberal act and flies directly in the face of what a freedom loving patriot is. This is the land of the free, let yourselves roam around freely....

Captain - there is truth in that this board does defend or otherwise non-linearly downplay everything Trump does.
It is very fair to declare that Trump (and his platform) is a far better option than Biden (and his platform), but that does not make Trump infallible.
With that said, 911, part of being in the South is having a certain religious fervor to everything. As proof, the only thing that people will defend harder than Trump is Napier's abilities as an OC.

I do not believe anything contextually you say here. You say we DEFEND everything Trump does. Do you think he is treated the same way democrats are concerning the DOJ, FBI, media, big tech? He NEEDS someone defending him. REAL Americans see what is happening and refuse to stand for it.
Secondly...There is not one person on these boars that even REMOTELY believe he is infallible. He made MANY mistakes during his first term. Mainly on the people he chose. I think that will make him a better President during his next term. NO ONE at the time saw how corrupt the swamp was. It was not until Hillary got off scott free...and the Russian collusion lie happened that most people understood...including Trump.
Good comparison, I think. Both have uneven track records but their die hard supporters refuse to recognize their faults. Based on their leadership position, Neither should be above criticism, but their followers seem to take it personally.

The DOJ didn’t take documents that didn’t belong to them and then lie about it
The media didn’t sexually assault a woman in a department store
The FBI didn’t pay off a porn star to keep quiet about an affair
The Deep State didn’t tell a president to withhold aid in exchange for help with an election
Big tech didn’t try to strong arm election officials into ”finding votes” to help him win.

My view (like on most things) is that the answer is "in the middle".
I actually do think that after Zucker (yes, it was him) helped Trump ascend and get very favorable coverage, when Trump won, the whole MSM, federal infrastructure, etc. turned on him. Part of it was for great TV (CNN, MSNBC) and part was genuine fear that it would not be "business as usual".
Then of course, Trump becomes, and I have been very consistent on this, undisciplined, profoundly, at times. Examples:
1. Calling Africa "s...hole" countries. Easy for Media to call him racist.
2. Referring to a Lab Leak (or just general origination) from China as "Kung-Flu Flu". Easy for Media to call him racist.
3. Speculating on bleach. Easy for Media to call him out of touch.
4. Not calling off the rioters. Easy for Media, J6, other to call him an insurrectionist.
5. Withholding secret documents and not returning. Easy for those charges to be levied.
6. Tell Brad R. to "just find 13,500 votes". Easy for prosecutors in Georgia to lodge him for election fraud.
7. Call with Zelensky.
8. Etc.
The cumulative cycle time on all of these items are likely under 5 minutes. It is easy fodder then for the MSM to go off and paint him in multiple ways and disaffect moderate, independent and college educated women.
By the way, shutting off Twitter was perhaps the "dumbest" thing the left could have done. It made him disciplined - and now he is far better. Guess what - his poll numbers are rising and the only question remains is whether Tim Scott or Vivek will be his running mate.
By the way - if his base held him more accountable to this, he would be even more disciplined and....a better candidate.
Disciplined Trump as he was (through most) of the 2020 SOTU, is as strong and charismatic a political force as we have seen in our modern generation.
They made a calculation error. They got hits, and viewers and tried to help their causes not believing he would win. YES...even CNN, MSN and the others DEF helped him get elected. TOTALLY agree. I disagree he did bad things after. They came after him IMMEDIATELY with the FBI, CIA NSA big tech, EVERYONE made stuff up, and he is not the kind of person to sit back and let people attack him. Conservatives like my self...and MILLIONS more are endeared to him for doing so, because he has fought OUR fight. As he always say...they are not after ME...they are after YOU...I am just in their way. Truer words have never been spoken. And THIS is why he has more support than ANY candidate in our history.
