Then says there's plenty they can work on, and they want to do that and he wants to do that. Adds again if they want to do investigations, he can too, and nothing will get done by the House and it will be there fault.
But starts out making it clear he's happy to work with them and talks about how they can.
Then when they don't.....he reminds everyone that he reached out and tried to.
Starts out with the olive branch and acting Presidential because he knows they are chomping at the bit to start investigations and impeachment proceedings. They HAVE to, their donors are demanding it.
So he makes it clear he wants to work with them because THAT'S WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT.
Trump knows that. And he knows when the House breaks and starts the investigations and impeachment proceedings, the indies that gave them the House will resent them for doing so, and vote Republican in 2020.
