Trask is better than Franks

Absolutely nothing,,, o_O ,,, if the circle of jerks is your information source.... :D

Really all anybody said was that your obsession with him being great from day 1 was ridiculous considering he hadn't started a game since he was like 14 years old.

And your arguments were literally that he's tall and big and an Eagle Scout.

That's all well and good, but there's plenty of tall and big dudes that are Eagle Scouts and it means literally nothing.

I've got a friend who's son is 6'3" 245 22 year old Eagle Scout and he can't manage to go to class or work consistently because he's a general ne'erdowell.

I didn't like Franks the moment he committed. A guy Les Miles thought was a good QB? Thanks but no thanks.

The first time that Spurrier saw him at practice, he said he liked him, but morons like you and McLame didn't see it, so Steve was ignored.... o_O

GAINESVILLE, Fla. 9-21-2019 -- Florida quarterback Kyle Trask earned his first career start and picked up right where he left off in leading the Gators to a come-from-behind win over Kentucky on the road.

He was extremely sharp in the first half, going 12-for-14 (86%) passing for 204 yards and a touchdown, guiding the Gators to a 17-0 lead at the break. He did it as the first Florida quarterback wearing No. 11 since 1966, when Steve Spurrier rocked the number. And he did it with Spurrier in town honoring his 1994 national championship team.

"Yep, it's sort of neat watching Kyle out there play," Spurrier said at halftime.

And after graduating this summer, Trask could have easily pursued playing time elsewhere. That he stuck it out, more than anything, seems to have earned the respect of one of Florida's most legendary figures.

"You don't (see that much)," Spurrier said. "But he's a smart kid. He wanted to graduate from Florida, he knows the advantages of staying here."

(Franks is his own QB, so comparisons to Franks are not wanted nor needed)

Asked if Trask's has a throwing motion similar to Danny Wuerffel's, Spurrier didn't hesitate. "Yeah, he does, very catchable. Very catchable," Spurrier said. "He's a good player.

Trask was consistently finding open receivers and hitting them with accuracy, two things Franks has struggled with. The two interceptions were caused by forcing the ball into double coverage and the fumble was Trask trying to make something out of a bad play instead of taking a sack and protecting the ball. I was proud of the way the kid played in his 1st ever start, although it was against a pretty bad team. He should improve as time goes on, but overall he was impressive. I don't like comparing him to Franks or anyone else. He's our guy now and I'm pulling for him to succeed, just like I did with Franks. The O-line has to get better if we're going to compete with Auburn, LSU & Georgia, though.

I like seeing a passing game that isn't within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage 80% of the time but we really don't have much to compare Trask until we play Auburn. We were able to win a game like that last season with good defense and Franks doing enough for us to get the win.

Hate to say it but insta was right again....makes me wonder. What else is he right about?

To his credit, Insta never really went out on a limb and claimed Trask was better. He did say that Trask was the more accurate passer but in general said he trusted Mullen.

At least that's how I remember it.

Keep in mind that Trask was also interrupted by EJ's playing time. I'm not against EJ getting playing time, but it must be a consideration when judging Trask.

I said last week that I didn't think that EJ was ready to be the starter, but should continue to practice and learn while getting some set packages during games. Noting I saw from him today changed my mind on that opinion. o_O

GBO, this is their 4th year at UF.
Year 1 I liked Trask better than Franks after watching their film. -- Neither played.
Year 2 - Nothing changed for me, and all of the xfer in QB's just pissed me off.
Year 3 - Dan liked Franks in a close call. While I still disagreed, I was willing to trust Dan.
Year 4 - In truth, I was mildly surprised that Trask stayed, but I'm damn glad that he did.

Now we'll all get to see how this plays out, I really loved watching the game today... :)

So I am a Trask fan. It’s almost Hollywood movie material. He shouldn’t even be at a place like UF. Kids that don’t start in HS don’t get SEC offers, just doesn’t happen. Nobody is enjoying his success more or is pulling harder for him than me. It’s like Rudy 2.

With all that being said, Insta is full of shit. A broken clock is right twice a day.

if you throw enough crap against the wall something will eventually stick.

And so the jerks circle up and sing a new (forked tongue) tune to match their own twisted versiion of reality. Either could work for CNN's Fake News specialists.
While the Dunnygoater and his SoreKeyster buttbuddy are again busy with their French Kissin'....

Pitiful little attention beggar, kinda sad really, but here ya go,,, yet again.
Here to foul up yet another thread with his always village idiot smelly crap.
BothTotally Clueless and Boring is any ugly combination.

Never need to read his posts, because they are always going to be,,, what they are, and what he will always be. This asswipe stalker arrives to spread his usual crap, and to be the lonely despised drunk loser that he is...

There once was a goater named dunny,
who was always trying to be funny.
But with his head up his butt,
and a load of beer in his gutt,
when it came to the girls he got nunny...

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

He’s an easy kid to root for too. He seems like a genuinely nice and humble kid. Seems like a kid just doing his best. Not intended as a knock on Franks, but we could kind of use some of that attitude...
And to keep playing football and to keep a positive attitude through all the practice and film sessions while being a perpetual back-up says a lot for his character. And then when he got his chance last year, he got hurt - yet he kept working. In high school these days, most kids would transfer to another school. In college, for sure they would transfer out. But Trask wanted to be a Gator, hung in there, did his time, paid his dues and kept preparing. It was obvious he had taken his role seriously and he was ready when he got the opportunity. Can't help but pull for a rare breed like that.

Trask might be play better than Frank's, throws a real nice ball, makes pretty good decisions but we'll see pretty soon against Auburn....LSU, UGA etc, I hope so, he's a good kid... he's not as athletic, he's inexperienced. We will see how it plays out

Insta might be right but he just likes the kid and I like him too. I think hes done a great job considering things. I think his ceiling is only so high but if insta is right I'll give him his due too.

Really we're rebuilding but I hope he continues to do progress.... #gators

Hard to say he is better, his throws look crisper. He seems to make quicker reads on routes that go further than ten yards. Will another game, and two more weeks of practice with the full number ones get him ready for Auburn?

We need our line to do a better job on his weakside obviously. A better running game would be beneficial as well.

I am suprised with the few times I've seen him in the rpos though. The guy has better wheels than I expected. His arm is good, he makes more decisive deep throws thus far. Let's hope it wasn't just because Tennessee is terribly coached. Let's hope he is a more physically gifted Will Grier.

Fingers crossed that he is better. Our defense is legit, so if he is as well we may just have a real shot of living up to our top ten ranking.

Better - Smetter.... --- Don't need the Trask vs Franks comparisons.
Both are pretty good QB's, and each has their plus and minuses.
I'm just very happy that Kyle has finally gotten a real chance to start/play, because he certainly deserved a chance all along imoho.... o_O

LB Brett Heggie named SEC OL of the Week, grading out at 95%.
The Gators have thrown for 250-plus yards in all 4 games this year behind the offensive line's performance up front, marking the first time since 2007 UF posted four straight 250-yard passing games.
2.65 games Franks - 1.35 games Trask, so they can both throw the ball.

More reps and game experience will help...how much?...we'll see.

He throws a really good/catchable ball and he's pretty accurate. He's not unathletic but Franks is better there. They both have good arms and I bet he can throw it 70 yards in the air...he's a big guy...6' 5". For a guy who has started 1 game in the last 15 years I think he's doing a real good job. He's a smart kid too...pretty humble...I like his attitude.

We have to run the ball better...really surprised that we pass block a lot better than we run block, with this inexperienced line....usually it's the other way around.

Insta is probably in a nursing home jerking off right now to alien porn. I make good points even when I've been drinking I cant remember the next day, doesn't make me king....let's not give to much credit. I like Trask...I hope he does great.
