From what I'm told, it all depends on which Florida team that shows up.
UT scored 66 points vs Ga Tech. That's the fewest they've scored all year.
UT had one 76 point game and one 79 point game.
UT had 6 games where they scored in the 80's
UT had 4 games where they scored in the 90's
UT hung 102 on Penny Hardaway's floppers in Memphis.
Florida has had 3 games where they scored in the 50's
Florida has had 4 games where they scored in the 60's
Florida has had 5 games where they scored in the 70's
Florida has one game where they scored 80
Florida has only one game where they scored in the 90's.
If that 50 & 60 point team shows up, they will get beaten badly
I would think that White would tell his team DO NOT GET INTO A RUNNING GAME WITH THIS TEAM. .
Slow everything down and try to score from the wings as UT is 3rd in the nation in blocked shots and #1 in blocked shots in the SEC.
Vols have better players. Pretty simple. I don't think we have a single NBA guy on this roster. That will change next year. Vols have 2, maybe 3. For Florida to win they need to keep the game low scoring in my opinion.
Which team shows up goes for the Gator's also.

The even bigger Gator issue is will the shooters hit or miss.

If the shooters are on, then they'll have a chance, if not, oh well...
The Gator #7 D has been holding top scoring teams 24+ Pts under their averages.

I'm glad that we're playing them tough but let's not act like we've been very good this year.
If basketball was hand grenades or horseshoes, we'd be a top 10 team.
White did as I suggested he do above. Attack from the wings. 12 of 32 from 3-point land. only 7-22 from inside the arc.
But Barnes made his defensive adjustments at halftime and, well, you saw the results. Nine 3 pointers made before halftime. Only 3 more made in the 2nd half.
( awaiting Instantloon to claim the refs stole the game as is his usual excuse even though UF went to the FT line 21 times while UT only 14.)

Good game Gators. Oh and the REFS. TN won the game but the refs made some very bad calls. No Calls for the VOLS and everything going for FL. Don't care what you say everything was going for FL. Still a good game.
I don't care about the officiating in this game or any other this season. It is the SEC and if you are anyone other than Kentucky, you ain't likely to get the calls your way.
Just like football. When was the last time during an SEC game that you saw Alabama flagged for offensive holding or offensive Pass Interference?

I've been a Vol basketball fan since listening to them on a 9 volt pocket transistor radio I got for Christmas around 1968 I would have been 10 yrs old. No televised games unless it was against Kentucky back then. Ray Mears was about the only SEC coach who could hold his own against that old cheater Adolph Rupp.

Gators had their chances. The steal but then miss my Locke was the death blow. But for 38:30 the game was entertaining. Williams is the best player in the conference, both ends of the floor.
He has an IQ of around 145. Speaks 5 languages, plays 7 different musical instruments( all self taught) and can play a little basketball.
He is a nightmare to guard. Put 2- 7 footers on him like a couple of teams tried and he fouls them out with his quickness.Or picks up a half dozen assists on bounce passes to cutters and sometimes even over the top. Play forwards his size and it's like a bull facing some yearling calf.
Williams and Schofield are both short by normal standards. But both weigh in around 240 lbs. And it is muscle. The Ole Miss coach last year referred to them as twin Bulldozers.
He picks up his degree this spring and begins work on his Masters a year early

It's hard to for me to watch this Gator offense.
What got me into basketball in the first place was the intricacies of offense.
At first I thought the whole "Mike White's offense is that there is no offense" was hyperbole, but I swear to God I truly don't see anything that resembles a cohesive strategy on offense.

White is done! Look at his post game PC. He has no answers and no idea. The fact he can’t figure out his offensive system doesn’t exist is mind boggling as well.

Mike White's offense has taken UF to: NIT - Elite-8 - Rnd 32 with 20+ wins in his first 3 seasons at UF, so it's obviously the X's and O's that are the problem this season....
Nembhard Fr and Hudson Sr both shot for chit vs Ten and they were open for most of those shots.
Freshman PG Nembhard finished 1-for-10, 0-3 3 Pt's from the floor and missed a couple point-blank bunnies.
He's just a Fr, so an off game is understandable, but what about Jalen Hudson Sr? He was 1 of 7 and 0-4 on 3 Pts for the game.
What did SG Noah Locke Fr say about the game? "It's been a problem three games now, with being locked in and focused down the stretch, and we can't let those things happen." So he doesn't think that it's the coach or the offense they're running,,, but what's he know? "They're a pretty good team," Locke said. "But I feel like we could be a pretty good team if we stayed more focused and listen to what our coaches say."
Twice in the second half, the rubber-dollies had possessions with double offensive rebounds, and both times they scored on their third chances. The second time came with the Gators trailing by two, 67-65, and resulted in a layup for Williams and four-point lead with 2:23 remaining.
"The mistakes we made, they capitalized on those," Allen said. "It hurt us at the end."
