I admit I overestimated Richardson. He was a deer in the headlights after the pick 6. If we don't beat Tennessee we will be fighting for 6-6 probably.

Not me! Lol

As I said before the season, uf would to need to beat Utah AND UK before I put them in the top 25 in the early part of the season.

I hope it's only one game but that 2nd half and reaction to adversity was disturbing by the QB and we have no one else if it happened again.

It was strange and shocking that AR self-destructed like that…

perhaps Mullen wasn’t as clueless as folks are asserting…

Well, that UGA game last year right before the end of the first half gave us a clue, but it was probably downplayed due to his lack of starting games.

But as far as Mullen goes...I think the criticism is still deserved. He thought it was a great idea to go for it on 4th and like 14 against UGA instead of taking a field goal to make it 7-6(UGA) before going into halftime. The result was that UF didn't get it....and AR started getting reckless and making bad decisions that was trying to make something happen.

What was that, his 3rd collegiate start? KY is a good team. You said yourself very difficult to get up 2 weeks in a row. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. The D was really good tonight so thats promising.

No doubt…but man, the dude looked like the heisman trophy winner last week…this week he looked like the scout team QB for Kansas…it was bizarre…

I will grant you that he doesn't have a ton of experiance, but I think the "just 3 starts'" is an over simplication when he played in 7 games, over 110 plays, last year and that has to count for something.

What also was bad was the fact he seemed to just freeze up. It's different if you are hitting passes down the field and then just make a mistake.

Interestingly KY did not generate much pressure until late in the game. He was missing throws high on the very first drive. Never could get into any rhythm. He did not see the field at all tonight. A few times early he had plenty of time and should've taken off but sat in the pocket and then made a bad throw.

He needs to quit trying to throw the ball so DAMN hard and try to make more touch throws with some finesse

KY looked lost in the first half being down 16-7. They just knew it was over until that pick. It was all downhill after that.

As disappointing as this was we have to give the coach some time. He’s having to revamp the entire structure.

I do agree with that. Despite it all, it's still just the 2nd game, and I still have more confidence in him than Mullen. Lol
Driving back to Orlando area after the game, I was listening to Steve (?) on 103.7 on the Gators post-game call in show. He seems like a pretty straight shooter. There was one poor guy that he literally had to talk off the ledge who seemed ready to bail on Napier already.

IMO, Napier inherited a mess and deserves a first-season free pass to find out who can play and who can’t (or won’t); and also to recruit and develop the roster.

"Develop the roster". Yes, absolutely. I think people view AR15 as how they want him to be, but not actually how he is AT THE PRESENT. It's rose-colored glasses. I frankly never understood the overly-eager infatuation with him even last season just because he could break off a big play against a bad team.

He had potential, absolutely, but man, whenever he got switched in a game last year because E. Jones wasn't doing well....AR15 could do just as badly or worse(like the LSU game) a not a single peep out of the fanhood. Nobody said nothing. I know people will use the excuse of Jones having more experiance, but even at times when he was doing well, people were still calling for AR15 to come out like a bunch of beiber fans at a concert. Jones never got that kind of fanfare even when he had little experiance. Yea, Trask was great...but nobody was excited to see Jones from the very get-go even in garbage time.

Napier needs to work with him. Both he and AR15 should be allowed that time.....but saying he played last night, and has a tendency to play, like a poor Felipe Franks is accurate. Felipe could be hot and cold as well, break off big plays with his legs, and make poor decisions of throwing the ball. Sounds familiar, eh?

However, he had confidence. You never saw him like a deer in headlights. Plus, at this point, it can be argued he had a better arm.

To rehash it again, because I know some people will gloss over it because they have fingers in their ears and not really listening, I'll say it yet again.

I'm NOT saying AR15 can't or won't be successful. He has the talent to be good, even against teams like UGA if given the opportunities from his teammates(online and wrs).

However, combining last year and up to today, the praise and adoration of him that he has accumulated is what is truly the overreaction. This game is a humbling experiance for a lot of fans....or it needs to be.

Treat it like the sequel of a highly regarded movie. Hope for it to be better, but don't expect it to be before you even watched it to the end.

LSU is what gave me hope with him besides the ending. How he threw some nice passes right on the money. We have to hope it was just stage fright this one game because he is the man now. I hear he was beating himself up pretty bad for his play after the game.

I'm not sure what's going on with him mentally....but I'm doubtful it's stage fright considering he's played UGA, at Death Valley against LSU, and a much more hyped and anticipated game against Utah.

Something is wrong though. I do hope he gets it turned around.....and that loss was not completely on him. Wrs were not getting seperation at key moments and it certainly helped result in this.

He throws bullets at guys that are 5 yards from him, lacks touch, and is wildly inaccurate. He struggles to hit WRs in stride and lead them with his throws. Routes will need to be confined to guys stopping and turning to face him and stand still.

tremendous athlete for sure, but a very limited QB.

It sucks that we’ve given up that 30ish year run over Kentucky so easily…but it is what it is…

the Tennessee thing is more magical and rooted in Karma so let’s just see what happens in a couple weeks…
Sad what's your prediction?

No matter how we do against USF, Tenn will have a sell out crowd in
Neyland Stadium (capacity: 102,455) & be licking their chops & hoping to embarrass us.

Every team we play will use Stoops & KY's blue print to choke off Richardson's running & force him to win with his passing

That was always the game plan against our Jordan Travis. He could run and couldn't throw (whether that was due to an inability, $hitty line or combo) and the game plan was always to stuff the run. Now he's progressed as both. Do you see any future potential in Richardson's passing game?

KY did give a blueprint to try to use to frustrate Richardson. The top teams have the talent to execute it like KYs linebackers did so he will learn and be up to the task or he won't. My guess is Georgia and A&M could easily pose the same challenge with their defense. Probably LSU and not sure on FSU. FSU has good DTs but not sure how good their LBs are.

We don't have LBs. So we can put that out there right up front.
