You would be amazed at how many people don't care WHAT you say, as long as you say it in a 'nice' way.
I watched obama give a town hall on obamacare where someone asked how his plan would care for the elderly.
And obama, in the most compassionate and caring tone he could muster, carefully explained that some people were just too old for his plan to help, and for those people, we needed to send them home and 'make them comfortable'.
IOW, he said some people would be too old or sick to help, and we would do nothing for them and they would die. But he was PRESIDENTIAL when he said it, so the media praised him as a compassionate leader.
