The beauty of new Twitter

So the White House was stupid enough to advertise the huge increase coming in SS while screaming look how high the inflation rate is. How dumb can you be? Did they not know why a huge increase was coming? Did they think America was too stupid to know why a huge increase was coming? Thank you Elon Musk for allowing sunlight on the subject matter. And just like rats who run from spotlights, the White House quickly deleted the tweet when a light was cast upon the half truth. Ain't free speech wonderful.

China Joe is an illegitimate, corrupt, broke, angry, senile old coot!

When did The Leftists become so evil? Why?

Have you heard the press secretary?

"The Biden administration argued Wednesday that a deleted White House tweet touting Social Security increases was removed because it was "incomplete."

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at Wednesday's briefing that the tweet, which credited President Joe Biden for the “biggest increase” in Social Security checks in a decade, should have included other contextual information."

I am glad you put this in here because I was just about to do the same. KJP is a liar. Had not the additional information about SS increase being tied to inflation rate been added, the original tweet would still be there. When she says the tweet should have included other contextual information, is she saying they were going to mention tied to inflation rate? Hell no.

Oh the results of REAL free speech when the American people can get most or all of the truth. Hey dems, the pubs just trying to save democracy.

As @BillCutting4585 correctly pointed out, this will simply lead to Twitter and other social media platforms losing Section 230 protections. Twitter added 'context' to Trump' tweet as well, but in a different way. Trump would post factual information, then Twitter would claim it was a lie, but their sources would be 'experts who say otherwise'. What's happening here as you see, is Hiden's White House is lying, and the facts are being added to correct the misinformation.

If Musk continues, at minimum, Section 230 will be repealed. If that happens, this forum and likely every forum like it on the internet goes away.

I could also see the dems trying to sue Musk for 'election interference'. By blocking their attempts to interfere in another election.

They can always repost the tweet with the correct information.

President Biden is generously giving us a huge SS raise to offset the effects of Trump's inflation.
They can post that if they want. Musk's Twitter can add more context if they want.

As I said, if this continues, I suspect the repealing of Section 230 will happen.

Then one day everyone will log in here and go "Heeeeyyyyy! Where are the boards??? What happened????"

Did they think America was too stupid

Yes, they were banking on Americans being too stupid to associate the increase with inflation.

...and with good reason, mind you. A large portion of our population learned f-all about civics or basic economics. I'm amazed at how few can tell you which countries the United States shares a border with.

LOL, I'm honestly surprised that this isn't where all of this began.

But again, they were banking on the stupidity of the average person making the dig at Trump unnecessary if not muddling.

Yes, they figured the average twitter user would have NO CLUE that COLA was tied to inflation.
