Im personally sick of the shit. I love all people. I just buried my father who came from nothing and became a great fighter pilot. He sacrificed a lot. He was from a small town in Oklahoma. When I was @ OU I was friends with many blacks, whites, other ethnic folks. We learned from each other. The bottom line we where Sooners and loved our country. We where Americans..We sure and he’ll didn’t trash it.
that’s just my point tonight.

My condolences to you and your family. I remember MD mentioning your father's passing several months ago and sorry to hear about it.
My father served in the Navy and served in Vietnam while being stationed on the now scrapped USS Saratoga. He also served in the same squadron as John McCain in Jax at the old Cecil Field Naval Air Station.
As for me, I never had a beef with the Okie fans or OU. I always thought they were a badass program going all the way back to the days of Barry Switzer and what he built at OU. I wasn't born when Bud Wilkinson led OU to a 47 game win streak. I also loved days of The Boz on campus. His book was hilarious.
I was very disappointed Stoops turned us down after the 2001 season but I couldn't blame him. He rebuilt OU into what the program is today.
Honestly, I'm impressed with the amount of Okie fans we have in Jax. You'd be surprised to see the Okie fan base here.

Many southeastern Indians claimed "Black Dutch", "Black Irish " or "Black German" in hopes of avoiding moving to Oklahoma on the "Trail Where They Cried", better known as the Trail of Tears. Virtually all of these never qualified for benefits.
Many many of these are of Sub Saharan African descent, as the southeastern Indians had slaves. I present me.

One of my son's friends in his class in a north Dallas suburb was certified as a member of the Oklahoma Cherokees and went to OU because of the tuition break. That's what she told him - maybe she just got an instate tuition rate. Class of 96.
I'm not familiar with the Cherokee Nation benefits. My family has card carrying Choctaw members. The Choctaw Nation pays 4 years tuition. Special situations they pay more. Granddaughter was denied a fifth year. She got a student loan for a fifth year which is now paid off. Her sister was accepted. The Nation paid for sister's Master in the medical field.
The Nation paid for parents' and sister's storm cellars in Norman. When Granddaughter permanently lands with GM, she may apply for a storm cellar. Granddaughter is currently in the New Orleans area and hopes to transfer to nailville (Dallas). All GM moves are now on hold.

My neighbor in Fort Pierce was a grad of FSU and she attended absolutely free. I would tease her about only playing 2 decent a teams a year and they still choked against Miami.
