Holy Moly...there hasn't been a team that overrated (no offense FSU) since Virginia Tech in the late 90's (no offense FSU).

peter warrick scored more points than VT did by himself in National title game...
yet again an "athlete" at Qb showed he can't do anything against pressure, a guy with that much elusiveness would never get sacked as many times as Brodie Croyle did against Auburn in 2005 iron bowl if he saw them coming... They were not hiding their dialed up blitzes and he couldn't use his agility to get away from the casino blitzes because he never saw them coming, that's what I was waiting to happen to him all year but they've played NOBODY with a defense except Clemson and that game got turned upside down because of Clemsons fluky turnovers making it a game after starting to blow them out then keeping their defense out there forever... Venables still dialed up enough to get to him and come from behind all in one quarter in that game. I said even that night when everyone was on his jock thinking they would beat clemson in a rematch that Clemson would drag them if they met again... A healthy houston team exposed his lack of knowing the position and being able to see what a defense is coming with. The NFL would be an absolute nightmare, i'd still take Watson as a Bears fan immediately in a heart beat over him. Watson just has accuracy problems and mechanic issues with his footwork but he knows what he's seeing out there and can get the ball out of his hands...

Louisville is a prime example of a team that peaked too early. They haven't been the same team since halftime against Clemson.
And sad, those VT teams in 99 and 00 were much better. They only lost 2 games with Vick. The title game with FSU and the game with a NC quality Miami team the next year when Vick was injured.

Again, with all due respect, those might have been the only real teams they played. VT from that period was the biggest pretender in the history of college football, ISO.
Nobody knows yet what Tom Herman is...but he is one gutsy play caller ( if he is the one doing it) sadgator will tell you that for sure. Love to watch those guys.
With all due respect to sad , RHT3 was at the FSU/VT 99 NC and sat about 4 rows up from the sideline. RHT3 spent the entire game worried silly about Vick ( as well as yelling at FSU scrubs to stop standing on the bench and blocking RHT3's view of the damn game).
RHT3 remembers thinking that Vick was the most exciting / dominant player he had ever seen in person, and that included RHT3's time at FSU games before and after Deion, Charlie,and Warrick ( Dunn and Peter) were there.
RHT3 has yet to see another player in person that dominant. Dalvin has his moments, but RHT3 feels that Jimbo does not use him enough.
Vick was amazing, but those VaTech teams were way overrated. Soft scheduling.
