Tell me what countries has socialism and the inevitable communism ever worked?

The leftist Swampites better gird their loins. We are seeing plenty of decent defectors here recently that are quite frankly, sick of their shit (other than knowing zero about football). Welcome to the Thunderdome!
Pure socialism has never and will never work. Socialist democracies, which are mostly democracies with some wonky leanings, are pretty successful.
It's a slippery slope.

Most people associate him with Communism but Karl Marx is the founder of socialism. True socialism as it was intended is almost identical to communism.
Under communism, as we all know, everything is owned by the state. Under socialism, all citizens share equally in the resources as allotted by the government. It’s a slight difference that operates exactly the same way.
In both, government controls everything. And it’s never worked in the history of mankind and has way more deaths at its hands than any right wing fascism. Makes the Holocaust look like a day at the fair.

The left wing extremism gone wrong gets little attention in mainstream media because the media is largely left wing and they don’t want to portray left wing politics in any bad light. Right wing gone wrong they’ll talk about all day.

Cuba. I have seen polls from Cuba that 97% love it. They are appreciative of the abundance it provides, and the generosity of the state run programs. Cuba is on the cutting edge. The very few that dont care for are allowed Caribbean cruises on fine seaworthy vessels made by Cadillac to raise thier spirits. Its a very equitable and inclusive culture.

Globalism and capitalism has lifted broad swaths of China out of poverty. Communism has directed cheap labor to win share and deprecate American industries ergo “Hillbilly Elegy”.
I typed out this whole long thing and then hit back by accident.
I believe the Nazi intent was to be centrist. They borrowed from capitalism and Marxism, and tried to mix nationalism with socialism. They privatized some government functions, but controlled and directed private industry and encouraged monopolies at the expense of small businesses.
While the core of the party was conservative nationalists, they changed the name specifically to garner the support of the leftist, socialist workers.
Nazi party members had privileges above the average German citizen.
I suspect being at war had a lot to do with, but at the height of their power the Nazi party membership very much resembled Stalin's communist party power structure.
Throw in things like the gestapo and the brown shirts and the comparison becomes clearer. To wit, all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
So I'm going with a hodgepodge of ideas from both sides and that ultimately became an authoritarian oligarchy.
Also, politics exists on an x and y axis.
