I read this about a week or two ago on the Facebook of former Florida linebacker Andra Davis, so I am paraphrasing a bit.
Davis said a player came off the field after messing up, Steve Spurrier told him not to worry about it, it wasn't his (the player's) fault. Spurrier told the player it was his (SOS's) fault for putting him out there in the first place.
I can absolutely imagine that conversation happening.
