The last time I heard anything around spring practice Muschamp was thinking of doing like they do at Texas and letting the players have the first summer semester off. He said he thought they were worn down last year and he wanted them to get away this time to be refreshed. They didn't give them the semester off but they did cut back the workouts to just a couple a week and gave the players more time to get away to chill and go home if they wanted. Coaches been telling them to focus on school and get hyped on the mental side they don't want them burned out by grinding them in the ground in the summer. They got them lifting heaveir and taking time off more.

They eased up some this semester and there going to start hard again in July like they did last year.

He hasn't been told he won it but most guys on the team think brissett will be the starter. The coaches told them they aren't going to name the starter until after 2 a days, but brissett is seen as more of a leader. He has been loud about encouraging his teammates in the weight room and to not act a fool off the field. It seems like the players "want" brissett but the coaches havent said yet.

The other leaders are patchan and bostic because they are vocal encouraging players.

All the guys love the new strength staff because they can see themselves that they are geting bigger. They are stronger across the board. Your going to be shocked when you see how big most of players got.

Muschamp made it clear after spring infront of the team he wasnt happy with the receivers group. They are the ones that the coaches are pushing harder than anyone else. He said flat out the receivers let the team down last year and its perform or ride the pine he isn't going to care about seniority and laughs at star ranking.

The weight coaches were telling some lineman that they had a freshman that was coming in to take their place. They thought they were saying it to drive them and try to make it motivate them. They asked a d coach about it and he said that the lineman phillips is coming in 320 pounds, quick and has bad intentions and could play anywhere. He said the coach said it with a smile but like he was serious.
